I was very late to Twitter like all of social media. I didn't start mine until 2017 and I still have my Twitter account up (I have one for NAFPAorg too) and it's certainly not where I prefer to be because it's clear that the platform like all social media sites are run for and by a bunch of white supremacists. I continue to be shadowbanned because I'm vocally #B1 and the Twitter gods still deny me from becoming verified even though I should qualify (I have the same issue with Instagram too). I see countless accounts getting verified for no damn reason some of them with have very small following counts, don't do anything noteworthy and lack substance of any kind. These tend to be the "social media influencers", coons, clout chasers and white supremacists. I basically only use my account to advocate and inform (and to promote Blk business including this site). Anyone who follows me knows I go hard in on the politicians (white and Blk), Blk journalists, Blk so-called Anti-racist calling themselves speaking for Blk people "activists"/"advocates", sellouts, coons and white supremacists of all ranks. I'm actually very surprised (and it's kind of a miracle) that my Twitter account hasn't been permanently suspended yet (or that I haven't been put in Twitter jail more times) because I give no quarters when it comes to getting in the asses of the coons, sellouts, white supremacists and their Blk puppets/bootlicks (the more well known the better). I'm not sure why I haven't been permanently suspended or blocked by any of these well known public officials that I be getting in the asses of yet but a fellow writer told me it's probably because I'm a freelance journalist and they can't block journalists (the politicians at least). Not sure if that's actually true or not but it's some food for thought. I have been blocked by several "proBlk" activists, advocates and social media personalities though including Yvette Cornel although I believe she unblocked me eventually when I called her out for it when tagging Antonio Moore so that's that I guess. I do fully expect to be banned sooner or later because I really don't give a shit about being PC, unapologetically B1 and AGGRESSIVELY advocating for my people. I even had a lady who founded and owns a website that I wrote for (socialworkhelper.org) DM me and tell me that she didn't want me having her website listed on my bio unless I "calmed down" with my tweets. She even called me that same day AFTER I had ALREADY removed it from my bio and told me that I should be more kind and less aggressive on my account and she kept pushing this over and over during the damn phone call. Basically lecturing me about how my account was going to make the "right" people upset (the cooning sellouts and puppets that have the power to actually introduce the Blk policies I have been pushing for all these years). I told her I understood what she was saying but that hell no I wasn't going to calm down and that I was going to continue to do what I been doing. Yes, I'm a mad Blk woman and I should be and I speak for said mad Blk women. I have been through and continue to go through hell and I'm going to express that through my tweets and if it pisses the powers that be off so what someone's got to do it and I wish it was more of us out there doing just that. Turns out that said lady had recently started a new gig at the damn Whitehouse working for the Jim Crow Joe Biden administration. So I was/am like her Rev Jeremiah Wright and she's the Barrack Obama in the situation. Needless to say, I didn't/don't care what the hell she was talking about and continue to do what I do (I think we spoke about this like 3 or 4 months ago BTW). She still follows me though so whatever. But I guess I won't be writing for the site anytime soon (nor has she published any of the articles she promised she would) since she's don't wanna scare off her white paymasters. Oh well. Anyway back to the topic at hand, I very recently found out about Twitter spaces. I kept seeing them in my feed for months but never paid any attention to them (never listened to or joined any) until the Buffalo massacre a couple of weeks ago and have since been participating in many B1/FBA spaces almost everyday. And boy or boy are they wild. They can get pretty heated (and I have even listen to one run by a blatant white supremacist just to see how they think and what they like to say and it was enlightening although I don't think I'll be doing that anytime soon because the blanant lies/manipulation were almost too much for me (rose my blood pressure by more than a few points). Anyway, joining and participating in #B1/FBA Twitter spaces is who I finally was able to speak with and become connected to Marcel Dixon and several other like-minded reparationists. Per much request and encouragement from several spaces hosts, I have even began hosting my own #TagiSpeaks Twitter spaces with my first one becoming highly successful with over 500 people joining and many more since then has listened to it. Not only did Marcel Dixon join it he even co-hosted my first space with me which was amazing. I have done two thus far but I plan on hosting at least one Twitter space a week focusing on B1/FBA issues especially Blk child welfare policies. I now know that there is a real need for these kind of spaces. I have really been able to reach and educate our people and more importantly our people have been able to share their stories with the child welfare system in a safe and nonjudgmental environment. I knew I was far from alone in this battle but I had never heard so much suffering in one place at one time and it's heartbreaking but it's through my speaking in these Twitter spaces that Blk child welfare policies are FINALLY becoming a part of the B1 and reparations agenda. So I'm thankful to racist as hell Twitter for that much. I have been able to meet several active B1 people through the spaces and that even led to someone who then recommended me to sit on a panel on FoxSoul about Blk LGBT adoption through CPS which y'all already know I am not in support of because I'm not I'm support of having CPS involved in Blk families AT ALL/PERIOD/FULL-STOP (we tapped the interview/panel discussion/episode and it aired on YouTube Thursday). That was my first national interview as founder and president of NAFPA and and it was a DIRECT result of Twitter. So yeah, I not a fan of the platform and I keep it fully B1. But I would definitely recommend using it as a means of advocacy, activism and connecting with like-minded reparationists.
