I watched a few videos from this YouTuber Chantelle Simone.

After a while she began to come across as a clout chaser. She seems to bash and put down black women for no reason or purpose other than chasing clout.

Black women aren't perfect. But no race of women are. My wife is Hispanic and she has faults. I've dated white, Hawaiian, and black women and they all come with certain faults and issues.

Black men, white men and any other race of men too will have their faults.

But in the process of pointing those things out and making content if your purpose is to better the community or give criticism to make improvement that's great.

However if most of the video you are just bashing and then saying please hit the like button, please subscribe and then you go back to trash talking again without much in the way of suggestions for improvement it comes across as just chasing a high view count!

I'm not down with bashing black women just for clout or views at all and I think Chantelle should be ashamed!

But she’s bashing modern women who have unrealistic standards. So I dont see the issue. She’s pointing out how some women’s mentalities are warped. You have a very superficial take on her account if you ask me.

Can you share some videos you see the bashing in? I don’t watch her because of the accent.

That's honestly not the majority of black women. Are there some like that? Sure.

But why focus on the negative. I mean I have criticized black women myself on this site. The difference is I was doing so with the hope that my criticism would help to better someone.

To me she seems to just be trying to do it to look good on YouTube. She comes across as mean and offensive quite a lot. She talks about women's weight and tries to make it seem that all black women are ghetto and baby mamas.

Just seems wrong to me. I just find her to be offensive and non-productive!

Literally just go to her channel and pick one. Try to watch one of the longer ones or a live one. She gets very mean and offensive.
She says stuff that she thinks is funny but to me it's just mean. Talking about women being fat and stuff like that.

    How does that help anyone?

Should we strive to be in good shape. Of course. I started going back to the gym and working on my health and trying to trim down a bit.

But you can say that in a way that isn't mean and hateful.

I always thought she had good content. I’m happy to see strong feminine Black women police the community it is much needed. I don’t watch enough to say if she outright bashes but in the bit I did watch she was just shooting straight up the middle.
You have to watch a few videos and watch the longer and live ones. She is a clout chaser. She literally insults just for the purpose of getting views.

Over the years I've noticed that the only people I've befriended in the most recent several years are people who are on their game. I can learn from them. Network with them. The men are producers. We have a circle where most of us either know each other directly are 1 degree away. When I met them only 2 were married. The rest either were single or in a relationship. Now, almost all of them are married or engaged.

These are solid brothers. Educated, smart, by and large pro black to varying degrees. During this time and over the years when we got together as a group, I didn't hear much of 'these hoes ain't shit' and a lot of complaining. They never got into Kevin Samuels too tough. Most of the conversation was about a new trend for this job or this new tech.

They didn't all have game when it came to ladies. But they all found good women. I can't think of any I would say didn't have a solid, ride or die woman. A few have kids now.

One of them is married to a sista from my hometown. I talk to her at get togethers more than he does because we are from the same area of town and trade stories and such. We were all overseas in an Asian country and she didn't know a lot of sisters. We had a get together and I invited some sisters I knew so she would at least have a black female support system she can go to for whatever. He had homies like myself, she didn't. Those sisters wouldn't befriend her. 1 did. The rest didn't. They were all single too. My guess, she was happily married with kids and just her life was something to be hated on because they didn't have it. That's my supposition.

The few brothers I met who were on that 'these sistas ain't shit' mode, wasn't about shit themselves generally. The rest of us were out there grinding, politicking trying to get the best gigs or start or expand a business and they were just turning up at the club or whatever. No plan about the future. All the solid brothers I met had a plan. They may have had to change it because of whatever, but they adjusted to the new reality and had a goal/plan. Anyway, the 'hoes ain't shit' brothers, never stayed long as friends. Moving in 2 different directions. They tend to want a hook up but no reciprocity.

I say all that to say youtube, twitter, etc, is like that. The women who are on Cynthia G's show tough and big her up, can't get or keep a good black man. He sees right through her to her faults. The men who are on Tommy Sotomayor's podcast tough are generally not producers. They are usually phsyically out of shape, a job that pays substantially below the average income and complain the most about women because they can't pull the good ones and have to deal with the ratchets because quality women aren't trying to holla back.

I can usually tell in the first minute or two if a sista is worth dealing with enough to find out more. How they dress, the air about them, etc. Yeah, I could be wrong but I'd rather trust my gut instinct which is a combination of years of personal experience and observation. The quality homegirls I know have that 'spidey sense' as well. And they have locked down good brothers.

If you are a black man who is obviously on his game. You look, act and are doing well, it sticks out even if you are quiet about it. I am trying to improve and get there myself. I do okay by anyone's standards but nowhere where I want to be or think I should be.

If you are on Youtube talking black relationships, dating, its a minefield. The ones who have the most problem getting a black man or black woman are the ones posting the most on twitter, commenting on youtube on these folks. I wish there was a study on the subscribers of Cynthia G, Christelyn Karazin and Tommy Sotomayor or even Kevin Samuels and I think you'd be very surprised at what you found.
