The death and racist abuse of Black people (even if recorded) is to be normalized and tolerated in this depraved society, not punished.
Has the momentum of 2020 died down? I'm beginning to question if most people were actually angry about the unjust murders of George Floyd, Brianna Taylor, and other Black people. It seems like too many people were just tired of the COVID-19 lockdowns and Donald Trump, so the recorded murder of George Floyd was merely breaking point to blow off steam.
Notice how Joe Biden (who is peddling false hope and a false sense of security to many even with this Nazi Ukraine war) is in office while all of these anti-Black racist murders are still happening, yet nothing is being done? Nothing was done to punish those who unjustly murdered Amir Locke, Jayland Walker, Sinzae Reed, and others who died under the watch of the Biden Administration and local governments. People aren't even protesting anymore and are getting too too comfortable.

Police reform isn't a priority to black people.
Do a by title s we search on this site for "Police Reform". There are only 3 returns. 2 of them are posts I made which are identical. The second one didn't get a single response.
The third is a post by Jay.
Then do a search for "reparations". Pages and pages of returns.
Police Reform and legislation to stop stuff like this isn't the priority.
Money is the priority. Which we may and likely won't ever get!
A push for Police Reform though is something we can realistically fight for. If we have a clear agenda like the one described in my post it can't be argued against. ( Search "police Reform" to see that post)
I'm not saying reparations aren't important. But as for me I'm financially okay. I don't need the white political system to write me a check to be alright financially. I took responsibility and steps to ensure I get my money.
I raked in over $99k last year. Even making that kind of money I'm not an exception to police gunning me down for no reason and then Fox News paint me out as a thug.
That concerns me far more than reparations ever will!
This is why we need a comprehensive reparations package that must include:
* cash reparations first and foremost,
* land + funding for development (especially since land and property were stolen from us, often violently),
* funding for things such as our own on-code Black police forces that we run and control,
* a law that prohibits non-Black people from adopting Black children,
* no taxes for FBA / ADOS / Freedmen people,
* a Federal Hate Crime Law designed to protect Black people and punish any anti-Black racist attackers/murderers/terrorists/harassers.

I can get behind all of those things. Especially no taxes for FBA / ADOS / Freedmen people, a Federal Hate Crime Law designed to protect Black people and punish any anti-Black racist attackers/murderers/terrorists/harassers.
Those two are pretty difficult to argue against. Racists can't say anything about their tax dollars because being tax exempt doesn't cost them a dime. I just get to keep all of the money that I earn. So even if they are against cash payments the majority of black people will still stand to keep money in their pocket if this were done.
Some areas of Oakland & San Francisco had snipers shooting at law enforcement on various freeways & it'll probably start up again.

The number one problem is that the black advocates in politics won't do cr@p. They are the ones that can effect change. Whether its on the mayoral level, state or federal (Congress).
Black folks, the masses are over worked and tired and just trying to get by. That's the norm. White society knows they have black masses largely just going through the motions. Until something happens we aren't hitting the streets.
That's it. Those of us posting on here are not the norm. The big question is how do we get to the masses?

...as an aside, file a lawsuit. Will he win? Probably not. But that's not why he should file a lawsuit. Overt bigotry, overt anti Blackness MUST have ramifications. Have that cop dragged in a court room, his arrest record exposed.

I have seen way to many cops these last 10 years targeting people with aggression or flat out brutality. I have seen them go after so many young black men, a lot of black women, even older white folks... You would think that would wake people up but no one seems to care enough. Most people have the mindset that the only reason this happens is because people "resist arrest".
I think having police in a healthy system is good but we don't live in a healthy system, we live in a busted system with a corrupted society that enables this crap. So many cops be them white, black, or brown are dirty and they will have each other's backs. They are basically legal street gangs.

I've been seeing this since I was 5 years old. The white & brown cops are against the Black cops in law enforcement as well.
Some Black cops think if they behave as the others do, it'll be better, but it NEVER will be! Even there, WS runs deep.
I watched a Nevada police academy graduation on YouTube & the graduates were all Latino, except one Black officer.
They ALL overlooked him & congratulated each other, just left him standing alone.
What a way to start your new career, full of hate from your fellow coworkers.
Seems like the concepts of white supremacy run so deep that the cops will even target white people who aren't actively racist. I remember hearing about a pair of cops in my area a few years ago that arrested a white woman for telling the cops to leave this black mother and her son alone. They were causing issues cause of her boyfriend. The white woman was her neighbor.
I've NEVER seen anyone white step up for any Black person, but I'm sure they're all not racist, but you can probably count them on one hand. 🤷🏽♀️
When they say they want to promote diversity and "inclusion", this is what they mean.
A diverse faculty or populace of anti-Black racists that makes Black people excluded while being "included" at best.
That's the cruelest "joke" of it all. Black people are the butt of the joke yet too many of us refuse to see it.
It's like a horrible relationship where the person is with a group of "friends" and they socially make them feel like he doesn't belong and they have to haze him endlessly, making him think one day they'll accept him and he'll be one of the "cool kids", but they will never truly accept him or see him as one of the "cool kids." They'll instead make him think he's part of the gang and will have him pushing mountains for them and sacrifice himself for them to prove his dedication and worthiness while they snicker, play mind games with him, and put a kick me sign on his back and he laughs along while they kick him down. He will forever be proving himself to those that will never accept him or see him as "good", "good enough", and as equal.
It's like a one-sided relationship. They're with you, but they aren't with you. They may physically be in your vicinity, but their hearts and minds aren't with you. In fact, they are against you and sabotaging you.

I saw that same graduation and that was really sad.
It really depends on where you live. I had some white friends growing up and they never did me wrong. The one's parents were a bit weird though. Like I could sense they had some racist tendencies which is why I stopped going around her house. You won't see many people over the age of 50 not being racist though when it comes to white folks.
At this point, you can't tell who's so called anglo white or Hispanic unless you hear their name. My awareness of others is becoming more and more a hated of others.
