Could you see Netflix taking on more video games?

Netflix currently has mobile games, but no one is really paying much attention to them. In fact most of their subscribers don't even know they have video games. Do you think they could try their hand at making triple A titles or bigger games in general? I think it could be possible, but there are some issues with that.

Only big issue with Netflix, is that they can barely afford their own movies and tv shows anymore, I don't even know if they can afford to make games at the rate their losses are. They usually take a big loss when it comes to the programming they make. Do you think it would be a waste of time for them to try to make bigger titles? Should they stick to mobile games?

Gaming is such a competitive landscape that I cannot see them luring over hardcore gamers without investing into AAA titles. Think about the XBOX OG without halo. Nonexistent. Netflix needs their halo.

Look at Amazon game studios they try to build three games and two of them are failures they're now outsourcing their gaming or bringing Korean popular games to the west like lost Ark. Mobile games is the farthest they're gonna go and they probably not even gonna win in that space because Apple Arcade is probably going to beat them out in that space also or Activision with King(Candy Crush) or EA with Zynga

100%. I have to give Microsoft credit which hurts to say but they saw Halo and bought Bungie up so that they could have a hook into the XBOX ecosystem. Amazon, Netflix, and Google all failed at this so far. They have no value when it comes to gamers.

Nah fam, I don't see them taking on more games. I honestly forgot they even had a game streaming service until I read this thread. Mobile games are popular, but most people who play mobile titles get their games from either Google Play or the App Store.
I can see them getting some traction in that space but not with real gamers. A soccer mom just trying to get some games for her kids might go for it. But after a certain point the kids are going to want the COD or GOW and Netflix gon be assed out.

I believe that Netflix is already doing that. Their main focus is currently on mobile gaming which is a good decision in my opinion. Mobile games is the fastest growing platform in video games now, so if they can get a good footing on it, it's going to help them a lot.

Do they even have the money to be doing this?

I mean for real. Netflix is bleeding money and a lot of people are predicting it won't even be around in another 5 to 10 years because of it. Not to mention, they are investing in some of the dumbest programs and movies. Some of them have been solid but most of what they throw money at is just terrible. Disney is following them with this as well. I just keep seeing shows get canceled after one season.

It's part of the reason why I see them not rushing into video games project with full force because they know how the backlash is going to be should they not get it right. Just look at how Amazon have been going on about their own, I'm sure Netflix would copy them soon.
