I bought one two summers ago. Don't make the same mistake i made tho. I forgot about a lot of my meats and had to toss a lot of it. What I didn't know is that you can still only safely keep meat in the deep freezer 6 months at the most
Facts! I wouldn’t panic buy…. I would buy what you need for 6 months and rotate your stock. That’s what I do.

Yeah, I heard this. I think seafood might keep longer but not 100% certain. My mom told me if you are going to store meats for an extended period of time, it is best to store them cooked already. Like she makes big batches of chicken soup, meat sauces, etc. and those keep for about a year.

that's a great idea. I've never been a fan of reheating old frozen meals, but I guess that is what tv dinners are huh? during the first pandemic. I joined a farming co-op and they delivered fresh groceries to my doorstep. I've read that water is the key ingredient. They say 1 gallon per day for each member of the family with at least a month stored up. I don't know how to filter water yet, but I'm willing to learn.

There are some cheap ways to do it. You can look on YouTube. They are not 100% foolproof though. For myself, I am going to be investing in one of those filtration jugs. Either this or something like it:

Water is essential. We can make it for a while eating yard pickings but we can't live long without clean water.
