There's a new Jamie Foxx movie that just came out today on Netflix. I like Jamie Foxx, but his last couple films haven't been that great, at least imo. But, I like that he's trying to star in different types of movies these days. So maybe he's in his experimenting stage.

In Day Shift, Jamie Foxx get paid hunting vampires, but pretends to be a pool cleaner as a front to hunt vamps. I'm not too into the vampire genre of horror movies myself, but this one looks like some dumb fun, and if it's made by the people who made John Wick, it should be pretty decent. Way better than I thought I would be! Snoop was better than expected also. I was really impressed with the action and fighting scenes, I didn't care for the main villain, she can't act for chit!
the concept was a fresh approach to vampires/vampire hunters.

Dope movie! It reminded me of Blade with comedy. It was cheesy, but really fun.
Side note , I'd fight a vampire for Megan Good, too!

I probably wouldn't let a kid under 12 watch. It's not really scary, but there's a lot of bloody violence & some gore. There's also a lot of profanity, but I don't remember any nudity. There's also a tiny bit of smoking from Snoop.

The soundtrack was hard, too. There were some west coast classics in there!

It's an action comedy about vampire hunters, not an Oscar Micheaux film. East some popcorn, laugh, and have fun.

There’s clearly a middle ground between those two. I like movies that move you narratively, this was more of a fast and furious type flick which I’m not a big fan of. It was mindless and the character motivations were paper thin.
