So I noticed I have been getting more and more e-mails from companies. Like ones I normally shop with online or shop with now and then. When they send too many e-mails, I normally just go to the bottom and unsubscribe to the newsletters and updates. The e-mails should stop... But they don't. How the heck are you meant to get rid of these when you can't unsub to them?

Been having same invading emails as well, I think you can just go to your email setting and block mails from unknown sources from Entering, or they should just go to the spam folder instead of clogging your mail space. As long as you used your email to register on such site just bear in mind you have signed up to daily influx and flooding of your email with unwanted contents.

I have seen a huge uptick on email spam messages. I've been getting some filthy degenerate ass text messages and emails. A lot of these messages don't even go into the spam folder and they bleed into my inbox even with the spam filter on. Lots of phishing emails, scams and spam messages being sent to my phone and inbox. I hardly sign up for anything. What the hell is happening and how?

Mark them as SPAM & you'll be able to report & unsub.

if you are using an android phone with Google apps it's a waste of time to unsubscribe /block or stop auto update nowadays your phone updates apps without your concern even if you disabled auto update we belong to the system now wether we like it or not we are being forced on things we dont want I guess we are in the BRAVE NEW WORLD or 1984

I actually thought that I was the only one experiencing this problem. I was beginning to think that the problem was from my own mail but thanks to the heaven that another person have confirmed having the same problem. I think that the way forward would be to decline using our Gmail when they ask for it. Since to unsubscribe doesn't work anymore, we better don't give out the Gmail address then.

Some of them take up to 2 weeks to remove you from their mailing list. I just set a rule to put them in junk if they keep sending after unsubscribing.

When you unsub, you have to give it time as Jay said.

If after a short waiting period, it continues to happen then you send them an e-mail and tell them you will no longer shop with them and you are reporting them for spam. It will stop after that. I have had to do this twice and it worked both times.

I think that's a very good idea, if it all goes to junk especially the one's I wanted to unsubscribe from, it makes it easier for me not to notice their crazy spamming when it happens. I'm going right ahead to set some up now.

I'm already tired of deleting and archiving them. It's even gotten to the point where I'm thinking about opening a new Gmail account in order to take a break from their spam with the new account. What do you guys think?
I think even with a new account, it's eventually gonna start back up spamming.

It happens to me too. What I do is mark it as spam then I unsubscribe. This way. you won't get any other mail from them

I just delete as much as I could. I have noticed that unsubscribing from those newsletters doesn't work anymore. So, I have to focus on getting those mails deleted each time I receive them. It is time consuming, but better than just leaving them there.
