I don't know if there are any fans of Dexter here, but I remember enjoying the first few seasons and then it just started to get off the rails and didn't seem to work all that well. The final season as well was just dumb on so many levels.

I heard the new show is getting good reviews, but that doesn't always mean it's worth it. I heard they would redeem themselves with this season, especially after that crappy final season.

You guys going to tune in, or pass on this?

Yeah same here, I watched the first few seasons but I lost interest in it. I know some people were obsessed with it though lol I might try to finish the original and then check the new one out sometime.

It may become a chore to get through. The later seasons are kinda tough to get through, especially the last couple season, including the last season. That's why this new show came about, because of how they ended the final season. If you want to know

Dexter ended with him heading straight into a hurricane taking his sister's body to bury at sea. He left his son with his girlfriend, who happened to also be a murderer or serial killer, idk I forget. It's a really lame ending, and they even tried to put in a storyline where his sister falls in love with him. She's his step sister, but it's still weird and felt really out of place considering there was never any suggestion she was interested in him that way. I felt they added it in to add some side plot conflict.

I caught the first episode of the new show, and so far I am interested in seeing more. Not going to go in expecting this to be a masterpiece by any means, but it could be good, or at least better than that last season.
