I've been experiencing sleep paralysis on and off since the past Few years. It's like I wakeup instantly eyes open and I can move my body at all and my head gets out of control I can't bare it and it ends and I fall asleep again. Do you ever face it?

My brother gets it and one day I was up late and I thought he was having and epilepsy episode. It's kinda scary.

I read you have to sleep on your left side to avoid sleep paralysis.

That sounds like one of those remedies someone's grandma gives them.

I haven't had sleep paralysis. I have had brief periods of time when I couldn't sleep.

It's crucial to get quality sleep, maybe try incorporating calming practices such as meditation or drinking tea before bed.

You need to find ways of relaxing. Getting away from the noise that is preventing you from getting rest.
