I was reading about this the other day. How having a creative outlet could help you better cope with stress and all that. It got me to thinking about what I do. It has been a while but I used to draw a lot. I actually wanted to get into illustration and do comics years ago but I never did it. I might get back into it again. Drawing more and see what I come up with. Worst case, I should be able to destress from the messes in the world and relax more.

Do you have a creative outlet?

    My creative outlets are:
    1. Playing Bass Guitar
    2. Making things: sites, graphics, music etc
I don't think everyone needs one but if you're creative person it's super necessary. Do you find that your creativeness flows better at night? Mine does 100%..

Yeah I have a Squier P bass. I’ve had it for like 20 years and never bothered to learn. I could have been nice on it by now... 🤦
Hahahaha, here’s a clip of me playing…I still have issues with my timing but I’m improving. I’m a brass player so using both hands to make the sound and change note is still a tad foreign to me and takes extra brain power. I was nerding out...it's so damn fun to play.

This is a good resource, their beginner to bad ass course makes it so easy to learn.

I'm a member of Phi Beta Sigma. fraternity.. Here's something I wrote for our sister sorority, Zeta Phi Beta, when I was in school:

The Beauty of a Sister's Love

As we drift along on this raft
guided by the passion of white waters
into the uncertainty of blue skies
clinging to the basis of a three letter brand
five steps beyond the wall of ignorant lies,
into the depth of the soul of a Sigma man.

We will never cease to need a sister
her wisdom, direction, help, and style.
We will never outgrow her drive and beauty.
We will always need your smile.

The glimmer of Beauty irradiates your natural presence,
your soul, your heart, you spiritual essence,
your stillness. Your realness echo's the sentiments for a true woman's birth
A Zeta woman was God's intention
when He placed woman upon this Earth.

As we drift along on this raft
driven by the essence of blue and white love,
into the depth the heart of a Sigma man.

We will never cease to need to share the dove
on the strength of the bond of a four lettered brand.
We will always need the beauty of a sister's love
before we can joy this life as a Sigma man.

Damn I shouldn’t have been cutting up these onions so early in the morning. That was beautiful…I didn’t get some of the references as it’s frat stuff but it was nice. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks man. appreciate the love.

Both of our colors are Royal Blue and White. Phi Beta Sigma and Zeta Phi beta both have three Greek letters but when we do stuff together it's under Zeta Phi Beta Sigma with is four Greek letters. You can't say Phi Bets Sigma without saying the Phi and the Beta which is in Zeta Phi Beta Sigma... all that's in there.

Edit: and we share the dove as our mascot

I was reading about this the other day. How having a creative outlet could help you better cope with stress and all that. It got me to thinking about what I do. It has been a while but I used to draw a lot. I actually wanted to get into illustration and do comics years ago but I never did it. I might get back into it again. Drawing more and see what I come up with. Worst case, I should be able to destress from the messes in the world and relax more.

Do you have a creative outlet?
No, I do not have a creative outlet.

Exercise & playing with my dog does it for me. When I lived in CA, photography was my go to. Can't wait to get back to it again! New state, new adventures.
