Hell no. No interest free loans from me. Also I pre-ordered Anthem after seeing it during E3 and it bit me in the ass.
Yeah you buy Purple Rain the game and you get the ass-less chaps outfit if you preorder. If not, you 3,6000 macguffin bucks to earn it in game.A lot of the pre-ordered games usually come with a perk that the regular buyers wont get.. (at least the games I've played) that's why I like to pre-order.
YES!!!! Exactly. I loved pre-ordering when it guaranteed you something good in return. I remember how popular collector's editions were back in the 360/PS3 days. Every game had one pretty much. Now days I'm not seeing it as much anymore.I don't care about DLC or in-game items. I used to preorder when gaming companies offered real-world collectables: t-shirts, Macfarlane figurines, caps, posters, etc.
My copy of NBA 2K10 came with a Kobe statue, a locker to hold games, stickers, and some more fly ish. View attachment 380
Dafuq am I gonna do with a stupid golden gun skin that will be underpowered 3 hours into the game?

Give me tangibles!![]()
Yeah usually that's the case. But I found in recent years it seems to be falling to digital bonuses instead of physical items. I suppose we could blame it on digital sales of games. But if I pre-order a physical game, I would like a physical treat on top of it, because what does pre-ordering do otherwise. DLC is nice and all, but I'd much rather a poster, t-shirt or something in return.A lot of the pre-ordered games usually come with a perk that the regular buyers wont get.. I think it was Halo 3 that came with the helmet that was dope, I think it was the legendary edition.YES!!!! Exactly. I loved pre-ordering when it guaranteed you something good in return. Also, one other thing I forgot to mention about pre-orders is that people who did pre-order, sometimes just tossed $5 to gamestop and then never bought the game. I heard Gamestop made a ton from gamers forgetting they had put some money in for pre-orders.
back in the day I remember getting physical things when pre-ordering, shirt poster, memory card ect.. digital extras usually mean extra content in the game that others wont have..(mount, gear ect.) it's still non tangible but kool none the lessYES!!!! Preordering games is straight wack. Id only pre-order if the extra was no micro transactions.I Pre-order games 1-2 times a year as I don't really buy new games as they have a lot of fluff but no substance and the only time they do is when the game of the year edition of said game comes out but that's how I role
I remember that one. A friend of mine got it, but I wasn't able to get enough money to get it at the time. I think I got a used one years later, but sold it to another friend. Which I regret. Now they're probably crazy rare.I think it was Halo 3 that came with the helmet that was dope, I think it was the legendary edition.
For sure, there was a lot of physical stuff you'd get. I remember various times Gamestop would give you a poster and other items for pre-ordering. But idk with dlc. It's nice, and I won't complain for getting extra DLC for pre-ordering. But I'd rather something physical that will last me years to come. With DLC, we don't know how long that will be around for. The servers for some games go offline and then that DLC is rendered useless. And most of the time I've seen at least, the dlc bonuses aren't really all that worth it, and I also found that a lot of studios still release the pre-order bonuses for sale later on.back in the day I remember getting physical things when pre-ordering, shirt poster, memory card ect.. digital extras usually mean extra content in the game that others wont have..(mount, gear ect.) it's still non tangible but kool none the less
That's one game people gotta stop pre-ordering. If EA sees people not pre-ordering their game, maybe then will they realize they gotta fix their broken game.negroes out here pre-ordering madden and ish got the game all messed up.
I got it digital the day of release myself. So I don't think I got anything extra, maybe some guns and stuff. But that was about it. I would have gotten the collectors edition, as didn't it add a bigger case for it and some other RDR swag?My Last Pre-Order was RDR2. I got it because I wanted the Steel Case. But the guns, horses and outfits were cool in RDO. In the past, I used to Pre-Order MLB: The Show because it came with a baseball hat of your choice (I usually got an Indians hat). What I prefer to do anymore now is rent the game on GameFly if it's an iffy kind of game, and if I end up liking it and it's available as a "Keep" I buy it from GameFly and then use my GameFly rewards for discounts on the purchases.
The collector's edition was insane. you got this treasure chest full of shit. Playing cards, bandanas, maps, collector pins, the cigarette cards set, a puzzle. It was nice looking but I just wanted the steelcase.I remember that one. A friend of mine got it, but I wasn't able to get enough money to get it at the time. I think I got a used one years later, but sold it to another friend. Which I regret. Now they're probably crazy rare.

I tried gamefly one month, and liked what it offered. But dropped it soon after. Now I got gamepass on Xbox and PC and like what that offers. I haven't felt the need to buy a new game in quite a while due to it.
In real life or in the game? The collector's edition was insane. you got this treasure chest full of ish. Playing cards, bandanas, maps, collector pins, the cigarette cards set, a puzzle. It was nice looking but I just wanted the steelcase.
I would go a step farther and say people need to stop buying it altogether. That's one game people gotta stop pre-ordering. If EA sees people not pre-ordering their game, maybe then will they realize they gotta fix their broken game.
Yup, real life. This is what you got when you pre-ordered RDR2. I didn't end up getting this, but kinda wanted to.In real life or in the game?
Exactly, it's pointless to pre-order most games, because they mass produce the majority of them. But, there are some, like the RDR2 collectors set I would attempt to pre-order. Otherwise, there's really no point unless it's an item with limited stock.I dont see how niggas preordering some ish that aint gon run out it aint like some new sneaks or sumthin. My ace get the new Madden er’ year and still be complainin
I've gone through a few midnight release parties. But I wouldn't count that as pre-ordering. But, I suppose if you go in first, pre-order then wait for the midnight release.I can't say I never did. There were times that I did do a preorder just to get a midnight release. In recent years though, I haven't. I don't play as many games these days but when I do, I like to wait until after it drops to make sure I won't be wasting my time. I like to read reviews on it before buying it.
I've always bought madden games used. Never paid full price for that. Madden isn't worth a $60 price tag imo.I would go a step farther and say people need to stop buying it altogether.
Yeah that RDR box looks on point.Yup, real life. This is what you got when you pre-ordered RDR2. I didn't end up getting this, but kinda wanted to.

This was at Gamestop back in the day and you had to buy it beforehand to get the midnight release but I think they changed it cause people were showing up to buy it.I've gone through a few midnight release parties.
