What do you think? Will electric cars be out future? I mean, most of them will still hold gas tanks just in case, but I think in the very near future, most cars produced will start to be electric. I don't know if i like that or hate it. Part of me wants to try an electric car, but part of me isn't sure it's worth it.

If electric cars become the standard soon, will you get an electric car eventually?

Yes, electric is the present and the future. In 10 years, internal combustion engine cara will be a rarity. Dodge, the manufacturer of the largest F-Boy lineup in the history of the cosmos is going full electric so you know it’s over for ICE.
You will not even own a car in the future.
This is also true. You won’t own the place you live or the car you drive.

Idk, I still see us having cars well into the future. But maybe at some point we'll see people travel via uber or taxis more often. I could see that being a reality one day.

It's going to be interesting to see how it goes. Do you think we'll see any fuss from people who aren't fans of electric cars? I can see some people throwing a fit having to change to electric at some point.

Of course but the fuss ain’t gonna matter because when you go to buy a new car the only option will be electric.

Electric cars will be inescapable. If you can find a gas car in the market in 15 years you’ll be lucky.

    From your source:
If you just wanted to get around town, the electric carriage was a better option — that is, if you were rich enough to afford one.
At the time, the Electric Vehicle Company was the biggest car manufacturer in the country, and they used a model that seems revolutionary now, but makes sense back then. Instead of selling their cars, they rented them to people for the day or for multiple days.

That is not applicable to today’s market. The prices are going down year over year and you can lease or finance the vehicles…with a substantial charging network it’ll make this much more palatable. Also with climate change/emissions regulations it’s going to push the electric shift.

The Russians had a better method, in that they used electric carriages for city transportation while they tried to improve on the technology but 1917 hit and all hell broke loose.

It looks mad cheap, not my thing. I really hope this doesn’t catch on as we already been through this. I remember when screens first got poppin automakers were tryna jam everything on the screen and since it sucked they went back to buttons. Now we going right back to these stupid ass screens. I like them for some shit like car play functions but I don’t want my car features confined to the screen too. I don’t wanna have to go to the screen to turn on my heated seats

Bruh my Mustang no lie had like 5 taps you had to do to turn on the heated steering wheel, the finally fixed it but it was annoying. There was no way to turn it on while driving without risking serious injury. They need an API so CarPlay and android auto can send commands to the car cuz the car companies make the crappiest interfaces.

I will always have a car with an engine. I am planning to get a diesel Mercedes that I can convert to biodiesel. That way I can make my own fuel in the future.

Which model you thinking about copping?
I had a wagon before we got the S-Class. I would like to get an older diesel wagon. If they make a diesel Sprinter that could be converted to biodiesel, that would be even better. The newer cars have lots of chips, unfortunately, so they are difficult to work on.

A Sprinter is on my to-do list in the next couple of years. I want to gut the interior, place hardwood floors, and turn it into a studio apt sans restroom.

It is astonishing how many people are interested in van living, or at least RV-ing. An apartment on wheels.
Man you never know when you’ll need it. It’s one of the few major purchases you can own outright. You can never fully own a property because if you don’t pay Uncle Sam every year he’ll take it. A car needs reg but you can drive it, hide it, etc.
