The metaverse is something I'm not so sure about. If it's attached with Facebook, I don't know if I really want to support it. But with how things are going, I could see the metaverse becoming a virtual place people meet going forward. The internet alone is already becoming a virtual world for people, and now with the actual metaverse, I could see some people living in that virtual world.

I don't think I would ever "live" in the metaverse, but I'm willing to bet there are people who will be into that idea.

What do you think though? Will the metaverse become the new way we interact with people going forward?

I won't, I'd rather die then be in that shit. That's why I want a farm, solar, and water so when they start mandating some of this shit I can still survive.

When it comes to the gaming side, sure I'd maybe consider it. But I don't think I'd use the metaverse like a new way to use facebook or other sites and apps. I only see it being viable when it comes to VR games or something similar to it.

As well, I don't trust Facebook or Meta that much. Facebook has been known to profit off of your data, so who's to say they won't find a way to continue doing that with Meta.

That is the next level of enslavement. They won't be doing it to just one subset of people, they will be getting as many people plugged in as possible and those that don't want to plug in, they will be sent to live in their own, rundown and broken society. The only way to avoid this is to join, work as slave labor, be rich enough to object it, or be forced to live outside of it all.

I feel like this is heading for some 1984-level nonsense and I am not on it. Maybe I am a bit too paranoid but I don't trust any of it.
