Do you think we'll be playing in VR worlds in the future?

We already have VR capabilities for games, and a lot of those games are immersive and fun to play. But, it doesn't feel like you're in a virtual world. Do you think at some point, people will start to play all games via VR? I know Facebook and Meta want to make their own VR thing, but I really don't care about their plans. I would rather see if other companies will try to make their own VR communities and worlds, but in video games.

What do you think? Could VR become more realistic one day?

I am a fan for new tech but I fear one day A.I. will start thinking on its own. Worse case? Like I Robot X3. It's stuff like that and the cloning of different species that scares the hell out of me.
My grandfather told me about a power plant called 3 mile island, he and many others thought that was done on purpose.
I do like the VR goggles with my drone but I think they are trying to make VR like in that movie "Strange Days" with Angela Bassett.

Yes you dummies will be stuck in that metaverse thinking it's better than real life.
Bruh this is a low quality post…you better than that. No need to throw jabs for someone asking a simple question.

Yeah we‘re seeing examples of it where rooms are constructed so that as you interface in the VR you can touch physical items to heighten the realism. 10 years from now VR is going to very mature with processing power capable of making lifelike experiences. Like @Kanu said, people are going to use it as an escape from reality and live on it day in and out. It’s gonna be a trippy time.

I can't see it ever getting that advances to where it can think like a human. I think when that day comes, we should of course worry, but there's so much that would need to go into that, that I doubt it's possible, at least not right now. We could get AI that's smart and can understand people.

VR with a drone sounds like fun. I saw some videos of people using them, and they could maneuver them no problem.

No worries! I get where you're coming from, because it's likely a very real possibility. People will live in these type of virtual worlds. I'd mess around with it, but I don't think I could live in it. I'd use it just like I do video games or something.

VR can do a lot. I can see a lot of people living in these virtual worlds, but I see it no differently than someone gaming for long hours. I could also see what Epic Games are doing with Unreal Engine 5, it's going to make filming movies and tv better. Maybe one day they'll make kits that people can add to their homes, so they can experience their home in VR as well.

Fam? It's a blast. Now I dont fly into empty buildings (yet) with speed and it coming back in 1 piece. But I really go enjoy flying 400 feet with no one one the ground knows I am there. Then my girl liked seeing the fall colors that high up, she said it feels like she is flying.
That gave me a idea but I have not worked out the details on a business venture like that..yet.
