Does anyone here work online for a living?

I've considered working online, with the pandemic originally pushing a lot of us out of jobs, it made me wonder if more people would jump to online work instead, and a lot did. Did anyone here find work online? I looked, but I eventually found that I would be better at my old job, so I just had to wait until the pandemic cleared enough until I could go back to work. For those working online, what kind of jobs have you found so far? Any suggestions for those maybe wanting to try working online?

I did a work from home gig for three weeks. It was a customer service job. Personally, I am not a big fan of WFH unless it's something I really have a passion for. The company I worked for is called Teleperformance and the contract was with a healthcare company(don't remember the name). I found them to be nice and friendly but disorganized as hell which is a pet peeve of mine. I imagine a half way decent and organized wfh company is cool you just have to find the right one. Just like with an in person company. Worker-Job Fit still applies even with WFH.

If you can create your own business it could be easy to make the digital switch. If you are still needing an employer try this website for ideas:

Yeah, I heard that working from home can be hit or miss for some. I think it's be great for me, as I think I need a break from people haha.

I also worked at a call center for a short period of time, was not a fan of it. This wasn't an online one. I had to go to a call center from 9-5 Monday through Friday and I hated it. Just nothing but customers yelling at you because of their own mistakes.

I now do all of my projects remotely. Fortunately, covid had zero impact on my business, because I was already operating virtually.
Yeah a lot of people online had no issues with covid. Makes sense especially if your work doesn't deal with anyone in person.

Thanks! I'll check that out. :)

I work from home and love it. It's great to just be at home when work is done instead of driving back and forth to the job lol
For me the hardest part of running a business from home, was deciding what needs to be done first, then making yourself do things that you don't want to do. During my twenties it was almost torture to stay inside and work on beautiful, sunny, California days. Really difficult.
