I’m not a defeatist. We do whatever we can which is keep the story high profile and keep the pressure on. He and his cronies clearly waited until the energy died down before making a move to dismiss

Did they dismiss it on his behalf? I sure as hell hope not. Favre is an idiot con-man who thought he could get away by defrauding the welfare system for his own benefit. He doesn't give a damn, he just wants to find anyway out of paying for the crime he committed. And I bet he'll end up getting his way.

Favre deserves to go to jail, or either pay back the money in full, which I doubt he can do at this point.
