Any one here been in a Fighting game Tournament/professional video game tournament like EVO or something to the effect of that? I though about going to Street fighter tournament and i had friends who competed in and also met famous FGC like Justin Wong and SMUG

Nah them dudes be analyzing frame rates and animations and I ain’t got time for that. To then it’s a job and unless you ready to take it that serious you wasting your time.

I had a 60 day span where I really tried to understand the mechanics of street fighter. I wanted to understand how to truly play shoto and not spam hadokens and shoryukens. I got really good in that time and was untouchable in my neighborhood but I just didn’t care enough to keep it going.

I got no time for it. It's more like a full time role for anyone that's interested. Maybe make a few bucks while at it, but I got no time to join any of those tournaments.

I’ve been to a local tournament once that was at the college I went to over a decade ago. It’s not like the big events you see streamed online and I was just there to hang out with a friend and not participating in the event. I don’t have the time to practice in any fighting games so I’ll never enter a contest.
