I'm Gen X, growing up in my teens we didn't have social media, cell phones or any of the stuff these kids have today. If you wanted to meet a girl you had to actually go up to her and start a conversation, if you didn't have "game" you didn't get a number point blank, after a few fails you learn the art of being able to start and hold a conversation with as female. and you better be interesting, witty or smart to keep her interested.
for me the first thing I look at and notice about a female (back in my days) were her hands, if she took care of her hands(nails not this clown sh*t we have today) that was a big plus for me.
what is the first thing about a person you notice? and what's a deal breaker?

I just look for general presentation. Are you clean and do you smell good.? I don’t really try to nit pick a person apart. However, I am not really a fan of guys with long hair. I won’t write someone off because of locs even though I prefer men without them but braids are a no go.

Same here lol Being clean and put together is definitely something I notice immediately. After that, I think what leaves the most impression on me is what he says. If he has a good personality, that's something I'll think about over and above what he looks like. If he says something creepy, it doesn't matter what he looks like lol

Then when we start talking I look at:

• Hands/Nails (are they clean)

A friend of mine at the clinic always says a man can learn a lot about a woman by just looking at her hands so you are not wrong there. He told me that he always checked their hands. No matter how attractive they are if their nails are longer than they should be, he moves on.

For me, I tend to look at the eyes and the smile first. Height is pretty important to me as well in the sense that I want to be able to wear heels without being taller but I am only 5'4 and wear 3.5 inches heels max so 5'8 and taller for me is fine. I like to watch how he carries himself as well. I look for confidence but not cockiness. I also have to do a smell check. I have a very sensitive nose and if I don't like the way you smell, we are not going to work out! lol
