I am going bald. I knew it would happen, as my dad and his dad both went bald at fairly young ages. I was wondering what you guys would prefer to do. Would you rather just embrace it and go bald. I'm thinking I might shave it all off and go bald. Or, I could try to get treatment to help grow hair back, but I can't see myself going through that process for just a small amount of hair back.

Idk, what do you guys do? Are any of you's bald or going bald? And if so, do you just embrace it? I feel we black men look good bald anyway, so I'm not sure why I am so scared to just embrace it.

I eventually gave up. There's a permanent solution (a trip to Turkey) but I'm too far gone to reverse the process. I just shave my head every other day and keep the facial hair mask on.

The options to save hair, especially for men, are minimal at this point. A lot of them are more favored for white hair as well. They have more options. Most black men can pull off a bald head nicely like you said, so I just say embrace it at this point.

You have two options:

minoxidil or propecia

minoxidil will stimulate the hair growth and propecia will stop the dht which is killing the follicles. The problem with propecia is that you will always have to take it and some of the side effects are erectile dysfunction.

So you’ll have a head full of hair with weak boners, assess the opportunity cost. My hair is thinning and I’m just accepting it, it is what it is.

Already rockin' a beard, which is why I'm kinda okay letting my hair go, because I will probably still look good with the beard. So that's a plus.
