I''m relatively okay with snakes, I have a fear of lizards. Don't know why but I can't stand them. I can't live in tropical areas if there are too many lizards around.
That said, these big azz snakes aren't in the heavily populated urban areas. I've been to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and didn't even see a lizard much less snakes. I would not go out in the wilds of any Asian tropical country. Too much stuff out there.
If I did live in such areas, I'd definitely have a dog and a cat. They usually spot them first and if they don't, then the dog or cat is getting bodied, either way you are warned ahead of time usually.
This below is crazy as hell. I saw it years ago with a caption contest and for me the winner is 'The Newports are up there in the back'
