How Left Is The American Left?

Both Trump and Biden are right wing politicians from a global standpoint. ∂democrats are a center-right party.
I don't think that Democrats have been legitimately left wing for almost forty years, since probably Jimmy Carter. There is no "left wing" in this country at all, and the Democrats are pushing farther right every year.
The fact that they won't even consider a guy like Bernie Sanders as a presidential candidate tells me all I need to know. He's what a normal democrat SHOULD be but gets written off as an "independent" because he's "too progressive". He's not even close to that.
This is truth. After FDR, the Democrats pushed more towards neoliberalist policies and now we have essentially a one party state with the veneer of choice. One of my favorite quotes
Bernie was seen as such an enemy to the Democrats that they sabotages him isn’t that insane? The contempt the Democrats have for the American people is ridiculous. More Americans need to wake up. Our freedom and livelihoods are on a downward spiral because have two right parties, not a left and right that can’t get along.

Ya as george galloway says their twò cheeks of the same ass. I dont consider any one whos ever ran as a dem a leftist. As mlk said they are the white moderates who say pretty words while hoing you. Bernie was my last hope for that party and it died as soon as he endorsed hillary clinton. Its now abundently clear they are only the baby face in the wwe play. Just as in canada it is the liberals and the conservatives. The only time america was on the right path was the new deal and that was only because it was seconds away from a full rebellion. This was the switch from lazze faire capitalism to kansian. There is 0 hope in this party. But i do wonder of socialist alternative and ksharma sevant id live to hear from seattle about how shes doing.
The way I look at politics is like a sphere. Left, right, whatever doesn't matter. You go so far in one direction and you are on the other side. In my book, you are either an honest person who wants good for everyone, or you are not. All politics, no matter which said they are on or what label they wear are backed by funding from corrupt corporations who don't see us as people, they see us as labor and products. People got comfy being lied to and look where that got us.
What are the names of the parties? Do you guys have a two party system there too?
That’s a good way of looking at it. Capitalism , fascism. and Socialism are on a spectrum they are not totally separate things.

hes been revealed i have no doubt in my mind if bernie was president he would just make more excuses why he cant do shyt.
They all reflect what they oppose and that is why nothing is getting solved. Politics is about balance and we lost balance years ago. It has only gotten worse. The only thing that has improved in the US are gun laws and even then, the cities are hellbent on making it like only criminals own guns.
The Democrats are only liberal about sexual freedom. All of their other policies are anti-black and simply protect the status quo. Biden is more racist than a lot of right wing politicians. He said his black childhood friends 'taught him about roaches' on his campaign trail and no one batted an eye.
When the power structure is not afraid of the populace, no form of governance will work on the behalf of the people.
That's a great point and I also think it's performative. The Democrats have to present as being an alternative so they show a liberal face on positions that do not change the status quo. So sexuality, abortion, etc. The second you go one step further and talk about healthcare for all then they turn into the Republican Party.

The government needs to work for us, not the other way around. From what I have been seeing, watching the trends and social changes, we are heading into a revolution.
Yup and the government is playing good cop bad cop with Americans between the Dems and Republicans to take the firearms away.
I am glad people are waking up to the nonsense. It is good to see more black folks getting on board and buying firearms as well. We have the right to protect ourselves just as much as those suburban karens.
