Its time for us to own our neighborhood. That is the only way to set the rules of engagement. If you are able you can get land to separate as well. Or at least have some to get away and practice shooting. Land for Sale, Farms and Ranches for Sale | LandWatch

and the other thing to keep in mind is that once adrenaline is pumped into your blood vessels if you are a high intelligent individual healthy in mind and in physical shape you will select the correct reaction that is FIGHT FLIGHT FREEZE and your chances of survival are at best.

Always know at least 3 ways to exit a building.
Know and be aware of your surroundings.
Know multiple areas that you can hide in that have walls and doors that can stop a bullet.
Try not to panic to the extent possible.
