Yeah Will Smith will be just fine. I will admit, his apology video kinda hurt him a bit, but it shouldn't stop him for too long. He should've just apologized to Chris in private like any normal human being would do, and not make a public statement out of it. I mean, didn't he already apologize during the Oscars and to the Oscars crew? He's pretty much done there aside from apologizing to Chris.
He didn't have to make a video apologizing to us at all. I thought it was more weird than anything.
He made the mole hill into a mountain with that ill advised apology. Everyone was gunning for Will but Chris was just as culpable if not worse and should've apologised to Will and his wife publicly knowing full well that he was intentionally provocative in delivering that malicious non humorous comment about Will's wife in front of a predominantly white audience. It's Chris that should have received all that 'cancel' mantra. Black man going after black man's wife publicly to entertain a white audience then acting like the victim -absolutely shameful!
idk, I disagree about Chris Rock. He's a comedian and was brought there to host as one. I think everyone in attendance knows they may be made fun of, especially considering a comedian is hosting the show. As well, they're celebrities, they should be able to handle the jokes. And it's not like he focussed on just her, he had a whole show of comedy bits and made fun of other celebs as well. And honestly, I didn't see it being that offensive. I'd understand if she maybe had cancer or something, but she's just going bald.
As well, I didn't think she looked bad. If anything I think she's making it work for her, so I don't understand why it was such a big fuss. Part of me still believes it was a publicity stunt by the Oscars because no one wants to watch it anymore.
He will be fine. He needs to focus on those kids of his and set them straight. Will has a big heart and sometimes his judgment gets clouded. I don't know anyone who is still holding it over him other than media and social media morons. His slap brought so much attention to that award show, they are probably glad he did it. That show was dying off.
I think most of his kids are adults now, but maybe he has more kids. I'm just aware of Jaden and Willow. I imagine he has more kids than that.
I think he's just taking time away from everything. And I don't think it will help the show going forward. Because it's just going to go back to the boring award show it always was. :D
