Black women did too but to a lesser extent. The Democrats are confused as to why black men would vote for Trump who was pretty openly racist.

For 8 years Obama did nothing for black men. We were slaughtered by racists both police officers and civilians because they were upset about his presidency.
They run Hilary Clinton who made the super predator comments.

They then run Joe Biden who was responsible for the 90s crime bill. He had done more harm to the black community than Trump ever has. Once he got in office he wants to give race soldier police more money.

As a running mate they put Kamala Harris who was responsible for mass incarceration of black men in California. She's done more harm to the black community than Trump ever has. She's not black. She's AAPI so it's not that far of a stretch to believe she's anti black racist!

Yet they expect that all of us are politically dumb enough to just go vote blue no matter who!

Just because the person isn't saying outwardly open racist rhetoric doesn't mean that aren't racist.
Yeah yeah Trump is racist. So what. America is racist. Stop being so emotional and voting based on that.

We also have to factor in non American origin/descended (aka non FBA) black men. All black men get grouped in, but from what I understand. African descended black men, vote Republican higher than other black men. Also, Cuban blacks. Cubans as a whole vote Republican higher than most Latinos. Also, depends on 'when' the non FBA arrived. Newer arrivals, Africans/Carribbeans vote higher for Republican than say..someone who was here for decades and grew up with and around FBAs in Democrat strongholds.

In Obama’s first presidential campaign, 95 percent of Black male voters and 96 percent of Black women chose him. Four years later, support from Black women remained at 96 percent for Obama’s 2012 re-election, while the figure for Black men slid to 87 percent.


In 2016, when the nominee was Hillary Clinton, Black men dropped further to 82 percent while Black women’s support for Clinton remained high at 94 percent. Biden came close to matching that this year, garnering the support of 91 percent of Black women.

Support for the Democratic presidential candidate in general appears to be slipping among Black women as well, but to a much smaller degree. Biden still enjoyed the support of more than 9 out of every 10 Black female voters.

Yeah, I think there will be a Republican that will come along at some point who is able to pull off the impossible. That is, promise black people specific tangibles that matter, up to and including reparations and still be able to get the white racist base to vote for him/her.

Let's face facts. Most of the white Republicans, especially males are racist to varying degrees. Someone will be able to parlay their racist base and offer blacks tangibles.

I think if it happens how he or she will be able to pull it off is the white base will be sold on it privately either as
1. A 3D chess move to get Blacks to vote but f*ck us over afterwards. Do what the Dems did and make them think they are getting something or

2. They support it as a way to get back at white liberals. "See, we stole your base". White Republicans hate White liberals the most because they see them as straight up traitors to white race.

Anyway, my guess is it will happen by a Republican within a state as state senator, mayor of a major city or governor, before it happens in a national campaign. It worked in the past. LBJ was never, ever known as a friend to black people. He was the House Speaker from Texas. The only reason he was on the ticket with JFK was because JFK needed southern states. Politically both men were very different. LBJ was always known privately to drop n bombs and didn't do anything for Blacks when he was in Congress and is on record for giving white supremacist speeches when he ran for Senate.

So he was the most unlikely champion of Civil Rights. My guess is someone like that, will be from the Republican side. Trump could have I think. Had he built on his 'what have you got to lose?' with some specifics he could have gotten more black people to vote for him. Don't get it twisted, he's racist. He deals with blacks on a transactional basis only prior to being president.

Democrats often don't do enough for us, so I think that's a big reason why black people and some minorities decide to vote for the republican party, and some decide to outright join it.

If democrats actually tried to enact change like they always say they would, then I could see them getting more of the black vote. But, they say one thing, and do the other. They'll come out and support us in their campaigns, but once they got your vote, or win in their position, they will forget about us and move on to their own issues and things they want to change.

Politicians love to say they're going to work for you, but all they ever do is work for themselves or take the easy route.

I think the overall best idea is to court both parties and side the ones that offer tangibles especially if you are in a swing state.

If you are in a red state like myself that's not likely to flip then you can afford to vote Republican just to spite and punish the Democrats.

If you are in a blue state then sit it out unless they offer tangibles. If they start to lose enough seats in Congress and lose enough electoral votes then they'll realize they must change.

If they only slightly lose they'll flip the story to that it was poor messaging or voter suppression.

They won't admit that they have done wrong and ignored black men. In that case nothing changes.

My suggestion is consider if you are in a red state, blue state, or swing state and then vote accordingly based on if tangibles are being offered.

Don't give a vote to any candidate not offering tangibles just because they are a Democrat or just because they are black.

Not every candidate that is black and/or has a D by their name means well to the black community!

Strategic voting. Who ever is supporting your agenda. If no one does in a race, no one gets my vote.
I'd love to see blacks have their own B1 candidates in local elections like school board, city council, dog catcher, whatever. If we get enough B1 people in local elections in a black area, it makes it harder for the state or federal government to eff with you. They will, but its harder. A school board with pro black majority can put in black history or a majority in a city council not accept migrants.
