I really think they don't want Trump to run again and be successful. He will try to get the illegals out of the country.

Both parties skirt the law but Trump was just blatant with it to the point it couldn't be avoided. Both parties kinda give each other a solid and usually, at least in the old days, they cleaned up their own mess internally if they broke fairly big ethical violations but these days there are no holds barred.
They are giving zero fuqs, especially the Republicans. I don't think Trump will spend a day in jail. Not saying he doesn't deserve to be but I don't see it happening. I think it will be some sort of non jail punishment.
