He was accused a few years back of not carrying about black women anymore. I think Trevor Noah was one of the people who put him on blast for being disrespectful toward black women. I think marrying Kim K warped his mindset cause now he seems to only have a taste for lighter women. His latest GF being an Italian model/actress. I am sorry but wtf is this?



I feel like he is setting a bad example for his younger black fans. He looks like he is almost content with surrounding himself with whiteness which is concerning. I don't follow famous people much anymore so I might be late for all this but it just seems deeply concerning.

Well, I think the Kanye before the passing of his mother would be calling out the Kenye that we have now for his insistence on dating and marrying white (non Blk) women. I don't think he's a bad influence per say since he is doing what countless Blk men in the entertainment industry do (something I think is personally unacceptable). That said, what bothers me the most is his blatant hypocrisy. The fact that he was engaged to a successful Blk woman when Donda passed whom he promptly dumped only to then marry and have children with KK (a talentless plastic hack of a woman who's slept with countless Blk men/with a family that is the same way) is really disturbing to me. It's as if his entire upbringing no longer exists and means nothing to him anymore. I don't understand what his reasoning was. It's sad and I believe that his continued lack of respect for Blk women has lowered his standard in many Blk women's eyes oh maybe just mine.

You making the assumption that the Kanye when his mom was alive was a different dude than the guy we seeing now. like they say, money makes you more of who you already are. Like Phonte said, he said this nigga aint change he always been this way. I dont think he really ever cared about only dating black women thats something you assuming. Everything that I said has been related to his public persona in the early days as opposed to his persona know. I never said that I knew him personally and I don't think anyone here can say what Kanye was ALWAYS like personally because we don't know. You are right on many levels. The problem is that people do look to him as a role model and someone to model their lives after. Mostly younger people and kids/teens. I guess this is down to parenting though as you said. Show them the difference early on, admiring people for their music and not their lifestyle. Shame so many do the opposite. They see the money, the following, the influence and they want to mimic that instead of separating that from the art and wanting to achieve greatness through music.

I would actually disagree with that. I think Americans of all ages celeb worship and I know I used to look to them to be beacons of Black empowerment myself. It wasn’t until recently that I realized that they need to follow us and not vice versa.

I meant wanting to be just like them, not simply looking at them like they are saviors. Hella people do that and it is a bit disturbing to me. They are just people who have talent in entertainment. But you are right. There is a major issue with people in this country looking to them for all the answers in their own lives as if these people know. They have no idea what it is like to be someone on the outside anymore. They don't deal with the same social issues and they have their white friends and their white money to protect them.

I mostly agree with you here however the one thing that I disagree with you on is not blaming Kanye. I definitely think we need to blame Kanye (or better yet hold him accountable) because he's a grown man who ultimately makes his own decisions on what he does and doesn't do especially publicly.

You are right. But again, we should remember that he is now a brand. Not himself as a person. So we should blame the brand manager. However, it could be a strategy by the manager! We don't know! Because it made him trend....look at us here, we are still talking about him! It kinda worked!

This is neither here nor there. Coz negative publicity is still publicity. Kanye and his publicists may have chosen to be on the other extreme end. The end that doesn't give a F what you think about. Plus, the guy is dropping nice hits after hit! I think that is all that matters for now! His personal life may be warped, but it doesn't change anything.

Kanye one of the artists that promotes nudity vis his music videos. I do enjoy some of his music no doubt, his lifestyle to go for the white women and not mingling with the blacks anymore is his business and not for anyone.

Just like I've analyzed my feelings for footballers that I support ( Ronaldo of Portugal being an example), I wouldn't want how Kanye living his life affect the way I look at him as a performer. Musicians have private lives and letting them enjoy it the way they want is better for me as a fan.
