Jamaicans Are Trying To Claim Soul Food, Too.
My Mom & Aunt Mary taught me how to cook & bake at age 5. Neither of them are Jamaican. Also, all the soul music I grew up on was NOT by any Jamaicans. James Brown, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Junior Walker & The Allstars, Billy Preston, The Delphonics, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, EWF, Brass Construction, The Bar-Kays, Ramsey Leswis, etc. I can keep going, so DON'T GET ME STARTED!
They wish smh the funny thing is Jamaicans are the first to claim they know NOTHING about Black Americans culture or struggle. Now they invented something we made, just stop ✋🏾
Whoever saying that is some random azz Jamaican. I've never heard that as a collective. Not saying this person shouldn't be clowned. They should be clowned thoroughly and anyone who tries to cosign.
The Kool Herc hip hop invention thing has been around forever. Even Tariq thought so. Kool Herc himself to his credit, never took credit and kept it a buck about how he got into the hip hop game. I'm hoping he keeps it a buck still.
This person doing the Soul Food lie thing reminds of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding where the pops claimed every little thing as originating from the Greeks.
Anyway, anyone tryna clout chase another peoples heritage for themselves when they know its a lie, no matter who, needs to be clowned.

That's exactly what you do with your FBA cosplay when we speak on Black American issues on here. You're the exact type of Jamaican that you claim needs to be clowned. The good thing for you is that I'm not going to clown you, Bredren. I actually feel sorry for you; it must be hell to hate your own culture so much that you constantly try to shoehorn yourself into another ethnicity.

At this point it's gaslighting so, they feel they (OBVIOUSLY NOT ALL) can stay relevant in some weird self-hating way on the internet. The way I see it is that they have their OWN version of Soul Food from their homeland and that's cool there's nothing wrong with that I enjoy it too but DON'T TRY TO CLAME OURS!!
