To a certain extent it doesn't matter what she says, even if true. She has 30k subs, no one will really hear it. If this gets views its because Tariq's name is in the title and will show up on searches. And even then people will ask 'Who is this?'. I've kinda, sorta heard her name before but can't say anything specific. A far more high profile, well respected name will have to come out with receipts. Someone of the Jason Black, Dr. Boyce, Dr. Claud Anderson level. The latter being the most of the 3.

At this point, you'd have to use the old political adage and catch Tariq in bed with a live (white) man or a dead (white) woman. His support is too strong and built up over years and most of his support are well aware of his past small time criminality, the macking books, his going to Brazil like a passport bro. People can be frustrated over why people still support him just like I am with Kanye's support up to now, but it is what it is.

He's got over 20 years of public eye exposure. However, I will say this. This is the most pressure I've seen him get and its from a variety of places, both inside the movement and outside.

If the reparations protest pops off with success, it won't matter what his detractors say. The problem he will have won't be internal but the government and outside folks (Latinos tryna get a body, Democratic party, etc)

The smoke starts at 48:00 and doesn’t let up at all. I wonder are we finally seeing a pushback against him and his antics. He is definitely hurting his brand at this point. I never seen so many calling him out.
His brand is definitely being tested, but I think saying its 'hurting' is a bit presumptive. His subs are growing. How is that hurting? Also, the more the Dems and the government hates on him the more credibility he has. Internally, within this space is what will hurt the brand. Being hated by the left and right will only help him (or anyone else in this space).

One thing to note about Kayne is that even if he loses his black support, enough white people and Latinos will continue to support him and his music. We built him up and look how he treats his own people. I don't think anyone can cancel him at this point. I think he will have to top everything he has done thus far.

Hurt his brand with whom? Specifically, what group(s)?

His credibility with people in the Black Empowerment community. There was a time where Dr. Umar was unstoppable and he raised close to $1M for FDMG and now he's a joke. He still has his loyal followers but he's no longer taken seriously. The same thing can happen to Tariq. If Blackberry can fall off anyone can.

Are we talking people in the Black Empowerment Community who are his existing fans or people who were never his fans?

Dr. Umar, respectfully, is immaterial. He had 1 job and 1 job only. Deliver a school and he hasn't/couldn't. Furthermore, he had way more controversial things going than Tariq ever did while in the empowerment space (conscious stripper being the biggest one). Does Dr. Umar even have 1 ally who is a major voice in the space? I wouldn't use Dr. Umar as a comparative analogy but that's me.

It doesn’t matter any person or thing can lose credibility and prominence. Tariq’s spot is not guaranteed and if he continues his exploitative antics it could end badly for him. You may not take issue with it and that’s fine. But his behavior over the past couple weeks shows to me that he’s self serving and self interested. Black empowerment is a hustle to him in my eyes.

Never heard of him. Are you saying blacks don't like him but he's popular with everyone else. I'll have to take your word for it unless others on this thread can confirm as well.

Let's just give you that. One person is an exception. And tying anyone to a vast exception is giving them very low odds. So, that being said, if black people publicly stop f*ckiing with Kanye, the overwhelming odds say non whites won't.

Whites, traditionally, do not f*ck with any rapper blacks openly don't like as I said prior. Because we are the culture of hip hop, what we say is good, is deemed good. And likewise what is bad .

Of course anyone can lose credibility and prominence. Never said that couldn't happen. Presidents have had huge popularity numbers (Bush after 9/11) and 7 years later, STDs are more popular than him.

The point is how likely it is for Tariq to lose 'credibility and prominence' and I've not seen or read anything so far to suggest its likely with what is going on now.

Furthermore, the FBA reparations rally in DC will likely make it harder for him to lose credibility. It's very possible it will be covered nationally and as I stated before, if the majority culture starts openly f*cking with him, it will make him even more popular within our space.

Unless you hang out with a lot of White people you will never know if there are rappers they listen to that are not cosigned by Black people that's what I want to convey. I also showed you an example of someone who is relatively unknown in the Black community that is selling out back to back shows with White people.

It is plausible if he keeps up the antics which is what I'm saying. We don't know if he will or won't because we cannot see the future. He has more people talking against him than any time in the past. Once again, we will see. I don't want to go back and forth on it. You like Tariq, I don't and it is what it is.

FBAs are flocking to him. His subs have broken 200k. It's going up steadily (along with PBT and TBA). So, that metric alone tells us he's getting more popular than losing credibility.

This latest controversy could see his credibility diminishing but right now its pure speculation and whatever measurable metrics there are (twitter spaces, subscribers, etc) suggest the complete opposite.

I specifically said and I'll quote myself "I can't think of one black hip hop star, that black people don't like and non black people fully support."

Unknown to blacks isn't the same as 'black people don't like'

I like facts, logic and reason infinitely more than I like Tariq. I f*ck with him because of the facts, logic and reasonableness of reparations, on code/off code, not voting without first being promised, etc.

Same reasons I f*ck with TBA, PBT, Dr. Boyce, etc If they didn't give facts and make sense I wouldn't be messing with them.

Unknown and Don’t like are arbitrary. Also you can be unknown because people don’t like you. Like for instance, is it wrong to say that Black people don’t like country music because most country music artists are unknown to Black people? When the fact is most country stars are unknown to Black people because Black people don’t like the music and cannot relate. Futuristic does not have a style or subject matter that Black people can relate to which is why he is selling out shows in Idaho but unknown in Alabama.

Understood, and I just wanna state it publicly because words can come off more terse than meant to be.

You are a real motherfucking ten toes down G for this thing. Mad respect. Disagreeing on Tariq or whatever is waaaaaay minor in my book because overall we both on the same side.

I like facts and reason too so don’t play that brotha. If I didn’t like facts and reason I wouldn’t listen to TBA or PBT. I prefer TBA because I get a logical viewpoint and humor with none of the childish pettiness that comes with Tariq. I don’t have to see silly cartoons, puppets, doxxing, and crap that comes with Tariq. You may not have an issue with any of that and that’s fine but I do.

Thanks, then he wouldn't work as an example for what I stated. May have to check him out though.

This cat sells out shows and has a huge following but from everything I seen him in has a very small Black following.

Aren't the Odd Future / The Internet members (Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Syd the Kid, Steve Lacy), Danny Brown, and BROCKHAMPTON some of many examples of Black artists or groups with Black front members having fanbases that are vast majority white and non-Black? I hear Lizzo was also accepted and listened to by mainly whites before she caught on with Black people (mainly Black women).

Yea but Black people like them so it doesn’t apply to RCNAL ‘s claim.

This is one of the final warnings for Tariq's followers. Something big is about to happen and people will be left wondering why no one warned them or told them anything. I've heard so many excuses for this man's behavior in the last couple of weeks, I could write a book about it.

A lie is more dangerous when mixed with the truth. He's really good at painting narratives, but people are too busy laughing and enjoying the drama instead of using common sense. Folks are going off of online numbers instead of what people are doing for the community. The kool-aid is gonna start tasting weird and some of you will only have yourselves to blame.

I see why cointelpro is so successful.
