Damn! This was back in 2016 when he was in rehab. He originally went into rehab due to depression, and two weeks in he suffered a stroke that hospitalized him for a bit. He even had to do physical therapy in order to recover fully. I didn't even know he went into rehab, but damn, I'm glad he was there, otherwise who knows what could have happened.

I'm happy to see he's doing good these days. Strokes are a scary thing, and to have one so young, has got to be a scary situation.

His depression would have resulted in that because there are levels to depression. He might have hit critical levels and it's why that happened. Getting into rehabilitation earlier was his only saviour, otherwise things would have been very ugly.

That dude definitely went through some hard times and the lesson to be learnt from this is that you could still bounce back from whatever adversity you are facing just don't give up.

What sort of drugs was he one? I mean to have a stroke younger, you really need to be hitting something hard. He likely had all sorts of vitamin and mineral deficiencies which made his depression worse. Poor dude was a mess.

My grandfather died of stroke. It's a nasty way to go because you would lose control of body while you deteriorate. It was very painful for our family to lose him that way. I'm happy that Kid Cudi was able to beat this.

I can imagine how hard that was, having to look at your family member being so helpless till they eventually sign off. No one would like to go that way. Some sickness need to leave this world cos we have suffered long enough.

Yikes. Yeah, that will cause heart issues as well as circulation issues. What a shame that men feel their depression can only be solved with street drugs. Men just don't get treated right in today's world, especially black men.

Yeah, I think cocaine and alcohol if I recall the interview correctly. These artists blow up and become famous and then can't deal with the notoriety and set healthy boundaries to maintain a level of privacy and ultimately sanity. So yeah, he turned to drugs and alcohol. He made it out of his darkness though and I always give props to those who at least make the attempt to fight for their life. So many musicians just succumb to it and then they're the next tragic passing on the news.
