L.A. Times Article LIES On Ice Cube & Insults Black Men Who Don't Support Karen Bass For Mayor
Yeah, they are lying on his name. LA is done as far as blacks are concerned anyway, we are like 6% at most of the state population. If you are a black politician in LA, and run on a strictly pro black platform you will lose. The majority of Compton, south Central, Watts, is now predominantly latino. The only way I think you can do anything for blacks specifically is act a wee bit 'All Lives Matter' to get elected then do a black only program.
We simply don't have the votes anymore. LA itself has less than 9% black population of the state is 6.5%. There are more Asians in LA now percentage wise than blacks (Asians over 11%).
What I don't like about the women in the Fox Soul piece is trying to say black women aren't in the black contract....its cap. They are tearing it down as a low key anti black male thing. How can a black specific thing be not for black women as well? Makes no sense. They were tripping.
Lastly, we have to accept that the major media will lie on us. As long as we have our way of talking to the people (Youtube, etc) to counter it, we will be okay. Being lied about is historically what happens, MLK Jr, Malcolm X all got lied on big time.

That’s the sad part, we’ve been gentrified the hell out of the metro parts of So. Cal. The politicians cater to the labor class who they brought in to slave for the rich.
What I don’t like however is this racist crap that this article tries to pull where it promotes a gender divide in addition to black male stupid brute stereotypes.
The government and its media apparatus never misses an opportunity to take a shot at us.
There is no surprise and these media hit pieces should have us all motivated more and double our efforts to combat it. When you get enough blacks calling stuff out people back down.
When we rock for each other tough, we are powerful because we are the culture. We are the most popular, followed, and imitated. That's a very powerful weapon almost all of us have not understood. White folks know it but almost all of us don't.
Those same young latinos in south Central, Compton, Long Beach use black slang. Listen to black music. On a side note, East LA is getting gentrified steadily by young white people who are priced out of everywhere else. The Latino gangs, etc, won't touch them. The blow back would be much. They will fire bomb the apartment or home of a single black mom out of the area though.
