What are you doing to push the B1 agenda forward in your home town?

One thing I'm doing locally is connecting with Black businesses and other skilled people with Black First in mind. There aren't many businesses to begin with in Sunset, but we have to start somewhere. I plan on branching out in 2 - 3 weeks to add more businesses and individuals.

Before moving to Parts Unknown, Louisiana, I started Boy Scout Troop 411 (Istrouma Area Council) and taught my scouts the values of knowing where we come from and how to avoid mistakes of the past. My scouts benefitted from learning survival skills as well as getting their first taste of the Black First mindset. My troop didn't last much past a year and a half once my committee brought in a white guy to "work" with them.

Please share what you're doing in your town. I'd like a few ideas on what I can implement here. Thanks!

I tutor kids at the Boys and Girls Club and try to inject Black Empowerment in them without making it obvious.

I am hoping when I am able to buy my first house, I can find a neighborhood that has potential for growth and open up a business as well as encourage other black people to move to the area. There are a lot of places where the population is low enough that the prices aren't too expensive. Gotta make moves before the white people with money move in and the prices shoot up.

Great question everyone should ask themselves daily. I speak B1 all day. Everyone gets that work. Somehow every conversation I have turns into the B1 agenda. I've lost multiple jobs speaking my truth and finally I learned how to turn the heat down in certain situations... Lol I love to educate foreign tethers and SWS on issues that are important to the B1 agenda. I see that just the "thought" of true equality for blacks can feel like slave chains of oppression for non blacks. I have to break that mindset 1 person at a time. Our own looking skin folk are the hardest to free from a system that hurts our plight! So I love to talk about history from a foundational black perspective. After all there's no other people on the planet constantly living with their colonizers fighting our every step forward. B1👍🏿
