I’m curious… would El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz be welcome today in the B1? What with the discussion regarding swirling, mixed-race, colorism etc., I’m pondering whether it would be so…

Malcolm X would be like the other older Civil Rights folks. He would be old & tired. He would be like Dr. James Smalls or Kaba Kamene and would probably be in a Hidden Colors doc. I don't think he would be saying B1 because he wouldn't be part of the New Black Media. B1 is a slogan by the New Black Media,Malcolm would sympathize with the cause but not necessarily be a cog in it.

But that’s assuming that he lived and things stayed the same. If he lived and stayed as unapologetic as he was it would have bared fruit. He would have took the OAU and would have been building strong Black men and women in the States and would have started connecting us to Africa.

If anything the New Black Media may not have existed if Malcolm X was alive.

That's exactly what was happening. Malcolm was connecting our people, everywhere he went & so was Huey & The Black Panthers.
I'm just disappointed that our Black family dwindled down to a small group of us here & there, instead of ALL OF US REMAINING UNITED & ON CODE!
I think the New Black Media would've been much better & more broader than it is now, if Malcolm & Huey were still alive today & WE AS A PEOPLE WOULD STILL BE WOKE, UNITED & ON CODE.

A fair point— but I was more referring to if he was was the same guy, only born later or cloned or whatever in this time period… perhaps the lesson is to die young fighting, and not grow old and tired 😂

Yes— I tend to feel this is the more likely outcome than the previous comment. Why else kill him??
