Kevin Strickland was exonerated after 43 years being in prison. It has become one of the longest wrongful convictions in U.S. history. He was convicted for a triple murder by an all-White jury in 1979. He was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole for 50 years. He said he did not commit this crime. On top of it, the guy who admitted to the crime, said he wasn't even there.

There's no mention on whether or not he will be getting a settlement from this, but if I was him, I'd sue the state for keeping him in prison all of those years. I mean, considering it's a wrongful conviction, he should get pay for each year he was in there. Guy deserves a nice retirement now.

It's messed up. But honestly, how cool would it be to see all the advances that tech has made since he was in. I'm sure he's aware of some of it, but probably isn't aware of all the good stuff.

But damn, I hope this dude is being paid millions to get to live his life now. That's the least they could do for imprisoning him all these years.
