It's not enough that Amy Cooper, George Zimmerman, Carolyn Bryant, SoHo Karen, and countless others are not in prison for the shit they did against Black people.
It's not enough that whites and non-Blacks can still racially harass, attack, bully, control, oppress, target, and murder Black people with impunity as they get slaps on the wrists and protection from extreme racist race soldiers in law enforcement, the injustice system, and governments. The worst that could happen to racists is that they'll typically lose their jobs at worst. Meanwhile, the Black people they victimize (yes, Black people are
actual victims)
lose their lives at worst.
How many times do we have to say the obvious?!
The times have
not changed. At. ALL.

The only difference is that we have cell phones and modern technology now. The whole thing where we supposedly live in a post-racial society and that we all have equality and freedom, that we live in a democracy, that we can all be a little bit racist and (yet) somehow have total colorblindness, and that we just need to hope and pray for change is a completely, dangerous, deceitful myth and nothing but hazardous propaganda to keep you sitting on your hands as your ass gets beat on Edmund Pettus Bridge and elsewhere.
The
real reason whites were conveniently scared of and angry with Will Smith when he slapped Chris Rock and profanely exploded with anger at the Oscar's wasn't because he was quote on quote wrong, but because Will Smith was no longer their "safe nice negro" and the whites fear they too can get slapped next for the shit they do or say. They truly hate and are disgusted of the vision of Black men and even Black women exercising their power, rights, freedom, and authority, especially onto non-Blacks. They fear the day were Black people can successfully be independent of them and rule for ourselves.
Because right now to this day, if you as a Black person even think to slap, hit, stand up to, and defend yourself from an unruly, rude, disrespectful, ghetto, thuggish non-Black individual or Karen to both keep them in check and neutralize the threat, you will be wrongfully arrested, charged and punished for it.
