I heard Kyrie Irving is among many star players out there saying "no" to the vaccine. Many of them say they had covid and have no need for the vaccine or they are choosing to wait until more testing has been done. There are some doing it as a political statement as well saying they are against the mandate of medical practices being forced on people, which I fully support and respect.

These players are facing suspension, not being able to play in certain stadiums, and being cut loose entirely from their contracts.

There is no current vaccine mandate placed on the NBA as the notion was rejected already.

I guess in New York and San Francisco, they are requiring that anyone playing in a stadium around people that they are required to now get the vaccine. That means any players who stop in New York or San Francisco or play for teams in those locations, will be forced to get vaccinated or they won't play and won't be paid. I guess the NBA already announced that they will not be paying players who don't get vaccinated.

But yeah, I had a feeling this would come. Surprised it didn't happen sooner, like last season considering then was the peak of the virus if anything.

If they want to get covid, so be it, not my problem. They know the risks when it comes to not getting the vaccine, so they can live with it if they are to end up getting it.

I agree with this. They need to gather in numbers and take a stand. Most people have no issue with the vaccine, the issue is forcing it on people. That is not cool with me and shouldn't be cool with anyone else really. It starts with forcing a single vaccine and then in 10 years, they are telling us what we can eat, wear, where we can work, what we can buy... I ain't on it!

If they stand together it's all over the NBA would have to fold. But quiet as kept many of those B-Ball players are living check to check.
