Ya but historically black dosent mean all black
You don't see the word historically anywhere in my post. To the point that you're trying to make though, people of any color can attend most of our schools. When I attended my HBCU, the kicker on our football team was a half asian white boy. That didn't make my school any less Black.

Back in the day, black colleges thrived. Now, there a thing of the past. That list reflects how black college life was. Clark-Atlanta University, Spellman, Morehouse, etc.
Can you explain this? We have over 100 HBCUs that are currently producing our next generation of Black doctors, lawyers, artists, and business people. The three schools you mentioned are 3 of the biggest schools in the southeast.
What did you mean?

oh i wasnt saying that i was just shocked to hear of an all race team in this age. question though what makes a school black now if they are integrated? is it just that only black people used to go there?

We call them HBCUs...HISTORICALLY Black Colleges and Universities. What makes them Black is the legacy as they were typically founded as academic pipelines for us since we weren't allowed at White facilities. We went from Not Allowed to Slightly Tolerated.

Just like you said, they're historically all black, not anymore. Along with Grambling. I don't doubt for one second that these colleges aren't producing Stellar black lawyers, doctors, etc. They're integrated now, they didn't use to be. I would've thought our black entertainers & athletes would've contributed, even Alumni. I was proud to see all black in colleges & businesses, because they actually were.

This is why I suggested yesterday that you do your research. Our history is widely available, and it's fascinating! Long story short, In the 1800's Black people weren't legally able to attend PWIs. Therefore, we created our own.
What makes a school Black is the fact that the bulk of the student body consists of Black people. A primarily white institution has more white students. Peking University has foreign students, but it's considered an Asian school. It's simple.

HBCUs have been integrated since the early 1960's, most of the people on this board would have no first hand memories of all Black schools. I can only speak to what I know; I've toured many HBCUs in many states(NC, DE, MD, DC, VA, MS, FL, & GA), and I've always seen a non-Black face or two on campus.

got it i imagined there was also like black history classes maybe like black business and power classes though i heard most were taken over by white interests. So much that Dr claud anderson only has books in like two of them. What's really fascinating is how we afforded our own schools under such horrible conditions.

I see you like Dr. Anderson now! There are absolutely Black (always capitalize the B in "Black") history classes. If you want to enroll in a Black business school, then you can enroll in Dr. Boyce Watkins's Black business school--> The Black Business School
