I subscribe to Gamefly.com. I try the game out first and if I like it then there is a "keep" option where I can get a discount on it usually.

I feel that but if a game launches, the sales are dismal, the developer will be in hot ish with the publisher, and that game will not be green lit again. So while it's righting the nonsense the publishers are pushing forth, it's going to hurt the developers and the games we like. I think the Publishers that play these games don't deserve a sell period. That's why I stay away from Ubisoft crap because they don't care about the customer. They are a game factory and don't care about creativity or innovation.

Yes it is always waste money to do beta playing games as it doesn't have full functionality and often have a bugs so you can easily frustrate playing the games. So better wait for official release.

Yeah, a lot of fighting games in the modern day does it, street fighter X Tekken, Blazblue cross tag battle, and soul Calibur 6 all does it even smash bros with Pirahna Plant. They do it because they want to play test the game in the wild and patch the broken charaters it is a mix of greed and neccessity for a fighting game to be balanced or its community would die out quickly

There have only been certain games I would buy new. For most games, I will wait for a sale. This is especially true now. You will not catch me paying full price for anything. Working on getting myself a small computer system for my TV that will function as an entertainment system. Going to load up that bad boy with roms. If people want to pay $60+ for new games, that is on them. lol

One of my biggest pet peeves is paid Day 1 DLC, especially when DLC is announced before the game launches.

Man that game is so sick. The only thing I really didn't like about it is that the other worlds were not really fleshed out. They were linear. But the story and gameplay is first rate. I called my son "boy" for like a whole year after playing it. That game is a masterpiece and so immersive.

Yeah and then son had beef with his brother and they end up linking back up. What a great game. I like how Kratos grows in the game by seeing Atreus. There's a documentary on it and they huge risk they took in reimagining it. I like they used a single cam through the whole game. You saw the whole thing from Kratos' perspective, there was never any cuts, pans, or anything.

This was exactly what happened with me when I got Cyberpunk 2077 immediately on release and it turned out as one of worst decisions I have ever made with my game's purchase.
