To protect the interests of my community. I do both national and local voting but I put an emphasis on the local votes. Attorney generals, state representatives, judges, ballot measures and school boards are extremely important

I'm voting to fulfill my sense of civic duty, and to exercise my voice.

True, there is no real sense of "democracy" , with the Electoral College, but we do have power to affect local elections, to include criminal justice judges, city council, etc ...

Actually, I think anything like reparations will get through a local government before a federal one ... They tend to follow the states on most progressive issues and use them as labs and to see if the concept can work or not ...
