I am fine with people being gay or whatever, do your thing but every June I just grow more and more tired. Why do the alphabet people get an ENTIRE MONTH dedicated to them? We have to sit here and watch corporations and brands pander to them by changing their logos to rainbows and peddling out gay-positive commercials. Everywhere I look there is a rainbow and everything becomes homophobic overnight because people don't wanna deal with it or participate in it. If a company doesn't throw up a rainbow, they are automatically deemed homophobic like these people are in some sort of cult or something.
I still think it is funny that brands and companies won't sport the rainbow on Twitter when their account is in the middle east. Like that is where gay folks actually need support and still have to fight for their rights. Goes to show this isn't about supporting the LGBTXYZ, it is about money and profits.
Just wanted to rant a bit. Just sick of seeing people get their celebrations, their time to shine, their handouts, and their appreciation while black folks are left at the bottom of the pile. Only once every 4 years we seem to matter. Ya'll know when that is.
