Remedy and Rockstar Games have announced the two companies will work together on a remake of Max Payne and Max Payne 2 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S.

I'm excited for this. I'll probably never end up playing it since I'm so short on down time but the dark sequences where you're walking on veins takes me back to high school. It would be cool to play these again in high resolution. I hope they reimagine them a bit, the bullet time was a first for games in its day but I don't know how it would play out nowadays.

i mean i am indifferent to it i felt like they closed the series with max payne 3 i personally feel that there are more series that are deserving of a remake than max payne but it is cool it is coming out

I will begin by saying, nearly everything created by Rockstar Games is an amazing game with a lot of free play. To be completely honest, I have never played Max Payne, however, remakes are normally a lot better than the original. I will wait for it to come out and I will more than likely purchase a copy of both.

This feels a bit late but I am sure a lot of people will be hyped for it. I know my older brother is. He was big into Max Payne. The remakes might be decent. I never played this one though.

Disclaimer: Rockstar fan and I think most of what they do is phenomenal so take anything I say on any Rockstar thread with a grain of salt.

I feel the Same way fam. I remember taking a Saturday and just playing this from start to finish. I think it was 10 hrs? definitely no more than 12 though. I remember it being a full day's work from beginning to end. I thought it was a Great game and the story was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the second one. it was definitely rushed to production. so many basic features were left out (like autosave) and the story of Max and Mona was lame and boring to say the least. I am super excited for the remakes though. I hope they do it justice.

i get you sis the first max payne is a masterpiece but its a little rough to come back to , But i am glad that remedy is remaking it and not rockstar cause at least it would get a better treatment.
Honestly i rather see Bully 2 or remake from rockstar than a GTA 6

They might as well Bring the Max Payne Trilogy collection. Remake all 3 (Well just retouch up the 3rd and use the Unreal engine 4)

While they are at it they need to bring over RDR 2 (Red Dead Redemption 2) and update it for the PS5, Series X consoles as well!!

I was like that the Very first time I played it because that was my first Elder Scrolls experience. then I said what the hell let's see what happens and then I got into it after a while. I can't help it I love dragons. put a dragon in a game and I'll probably play it

Seriously, that's a strong disposition that I also have as well. They should have worked something on BULLY 2 by now but they aren't even considering it. Even Red Dead Redemption should have something new worked on before GTA 6.

I read an article sometime toward the end of last year and it reported them shelving production on a game sometime in Q4 of last year I think. Rumor has it, it was Bully 2. If I find the article I'll link it.

Woah, I'd be very much interested in reading that, although I have one thing with Rockstar updates about their game's development. If it's not from any of their official channels, it's unlikely to be true but I wouldn't mind reading the article.
