I get why companies don't want us to be able to swap batteries cause a battery losing its charge abilities will result in someone needing to buy a new phone HOWEVER the bulk of the cost is not from the battery, it is from the tech and software it powers so the fact that they block us from putting new ones in is a whole other lever of greed.

Fairpoint. I also think it might have something to do with the constant analytic stat tracking and Geo fence tracking because if you can remove your battery I can’t really listen in onto you passively second I can’t follow you around unless you actually have a power source to the radios that go inside the back of the phone, so that’s another loss and profit of dated driven analytics
