There is a new rebooted Resident Evil movie coming soon, and it will be called Welcome to Racoon City. They just dropped the trailer today, and honestly I'm kinda hyped for it. Idk what they did with Leon, but eh, whatever. What do you guys think? It looks like it follows the games a lot more, but seems a little bit different.

I really hope it's better than the original series of movies, because I hated those movies so much.

The CGI is looking a bit corny in this one but I will wait and see how the ratings do. I was a fan of the earlier movies and games but it has been a while since I watched or played anything under the Resident Evil belt.

Looks a lot more interesting than the last set of live action movies they did, which didn't even follow the games at all really aside from maybe the first film and it barely followed the same storyline.

Anyway, this looks better, but not by much. That CGI dog looks like garbage, but I'm going to guess there's going to be more work done on the CGI before the movie finally drops, but they only have until end of next month to make that happen.

Hollywood does this alot, they will release a trailer with piss poor cgi and then when it releases, it's a tad bit better than what we saw. But yeah, that CGI dog though, looks bad. Like really bad. Like I'm watching a movie from the early 2000s or something.

I am hoping that this is a case where it isn't the finalized product and they are still going to touch it up. I know they have the capabilities to go back in and fix stuff if they want to. That Sonic movie was a good example of that.

That's what I think it is. Because if that's the final product, then I don't have much hope for this movie to turn out to be good. They only have until late November to make it look better, so hopefully they do by then.

As well, I think they are doing some practical effects, but I think they showed some other CGi monsters in the trailer, so maybe it's just a case of they aren't done with the CGI like you said.

I want it to do good but the more people go over the top with this CGI non-sense, the worse movies are getting as a whole. It is better to use it sparingly or only when you absolutely have to. I get using it for this one but I feel like they may have overdone it just for that "wow" factor. People don't get easily impressed by it anymore though so I guess they didn't get that memo.
