I can equate these two groups to old school hip hop and what's out today calling itself hip hop.. One group consist of intelligent thought and dialog and the other consist of low budget ghetto antics.. One group I can't bare to listen to for more than a few minutes because of the ignorance on display.. The other inspires me and teaches me as well.. Your thoughts??

I am a softie (I know y'all thinking simp....haha...forget y'all haha). I think almost anyone is redeemable. Secure The Tribe is pushing the same things everyone on here is. So, I want them to continue. In the end it will all work out I think (or hope). If someone was talking about Tariq's children, I can't blame him one iota for being done with a group who didn't check someone saying that. I get it. I'd be the same. That said, having people talking reparations in various cities, even if they are only a few is significant.

The local and major media mentioned them. Yes, it was negative but they MENTIONED them. They are scared. There are handful of people demonstrating in DC every day about anything from fake moon landing to the Area 51 having aliens. No one gives a sh*t. The major media gave a sh*t and the manner in which they reported means they were shook. I want that to continue.

That said, I would say this to Secure The Tribe. Fall back for a second, get together, honestly talk about how things went down, how the conduct was and the aftermath and come out of it with an in house, comprehensive plan for what's next. What to do and more importantly not to do.

I've never heard Tariq complain TBA, PBT, Dr. Boyce and Taurean Reign didn't talk up his crowdfunding for the museum as it was happening prior, real time or immediately after. I never heard TBA complain Tariq didn't support or talk up his putting up billboards.

You know how they got together? Tariq observed the work he was putting in and donated what TBA described as a 'sizeable check' towards one of his projects. Tariq didn't ask for anything, wasn't expecting to be recognized, he didn't say he was donating to anyone. So, when Secure The Tribe says why didn't the new black media big them up, to be fair, when has the big 3 bigged up each other's projects tough? If someone calls in and mentioned it, they'd wish them luck but not arbitrarily. The only time I heard Tariq publicly request anything of TBA was to speak at the march. "...and TBA we could use you brother" or something to that effect. That's it. The Jumper white boy asked Tariq are there any others he should listen to and Tariq mentioned TBA and PBT but if the guy didn't ask that question, he wouldn't have said sh*t about them but its not because he doesn't respect them. He had both of them on the program once.

So, they can't say its off code when the norm is that it's (publicly pushing other projects) not done among them. That's asking for special treatment and being upset not getting it. I truly hope and wish this just becomes a learning experience, that eventually makes the group better and more effective.

Again...an again, the more voices we have talking about reparations, black empowerment the better. The side beefs notwithstanding.

Personally, I think that "Secure The Tribe" is being misled by terrible role models. That usually happens when people are trying to make a name for themselves and are off code from the beginning.

When he is speaking from his own perspective he sounds like an idiot. Remember when he said Nipsey seemed like a military hit? He always uses phrases like "people are saying" "I'm hearing" so that he doesn't have to stand on anything he says. Tariq is entertaining and a hustler I'll give him that but not much more. The criticisms of Tariq being overly petty and vindictive could be valid depending on your tolerance. The doxxing allegations as well. I can see how some people and a few people on here have voiced their feelings about how he acted. I can definitely understand it.

However, I also heard one of them call in and criticize him for being on Revolt TV and accused Diddy of killing Tupac. The criticism of Tariq (and others) on Revolt TV has no validity in my opinion. He and others were on there to speak to an audience who may not have heard why we need to fight for reparations, reparative justice, all of it. What's wrong with that? You should only speak to people who think like you? That made no sense.

The test will be what kind of Secure The Tribe comes out of all this. The 'big 3' as they are called got a huge following and the people with platforms who rock with them (Dr. Boyce, etc, ) many of those followers are gonna be looking STT sideways. I don't like to see it but maybe....maybe some good can come out of all this. lol...I take the good with the bad. I look at a person's overall effect and their contributions in its entirety. I over look the bad if the good is way, way more. I get frustrated at Dr. Umar's ego but the man spits some good ass stuff. Jason Black can be cringeworthy in how he treats people and a couple people I turned them on to said they couldn't get past his attitude, so don't listen to him.

Same with Tariq, whatever issues I have with him, its not enough for me not to f*ck with him. I can't say that for others. I can't blame someone for not messing with him. For me its the work. He does great work in my humble opinion. The 'negatives' aren't a big deal for me, but I have friends for whom it is.
