Just found out about this today. The fucks wrong with these people man?
So, the town of Mason (60% Black) is roughly 20yrs older than the County of TipTon, Ford is set to open of the multibillion-dollar EV facility there and the TipTop wants the mainstay. Looks like Ford is one of the few companies trying to make good on investing in black communities (at face value), then again, they may play a apart in disrupting the local politics.

The Comptroller is an appointed position by the Governor which is currently Bill Lee (along with lieutenant governor, secretary of state, attorney general, and treasurer), the Tenn. Code Ann. § 2-5-151 states what can and cannot be recalled. Gov. Bill Lee in July 2019, signed an order proclaiming Nathan Bedford Forrest Day, as required by Tennessee law, celebrating Forrest, a former confederate general and the first Grand Wizard of the Klan (The legislature repealed this requirement in June 2020).

A rich person or company invests builds up and creates new jobs. The cost of living for locals raises. Rent, goods, etc.
Out-of-townies come in to fill in the high-pay jobs. It forces locals who can't afford it anymore to move to poorer areas where crime is a major issue.

Tariq talked about this on his braodcast a few days ago. This is white supremacy at its finest. This unincorporated town hasn't been given so much as a consideration but now Ford wants to put a plant in the area and NOOOOOOOOW suddenly the situation has become "untenable" Mumpower was quoted as saying. Another I'm white and I say so scam so that a black community can't benefit from the billions of dollars and jobs that would flood the area.
Agreed. It came as no surprise they would try to block any sort of progress and undo all of the hard work that the community worked to accomplish. They've been who they are, doing what they always do for centuries then turn around and try to convince their victims of imagining things or playing the race card if challenged.
