I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a android smartwatch, or an Apple Watch, but I can't be bothered to spend so much on one at the moment. I did get this cheap chinese workout band that works like a smartwatch kinda. It's like called the Miband 5 or something. It was like $35 and lets you count steps, calories burnt etc.

Do you guys own any legit smart watches though?

I'm an Apple Watch Series 6 gold type of girl. After having an Apple Watch for a couple years I just can't see myself wearing anything else. I track my morning walks, my yoga class, my spinning class, it's a part of me now.
I think if I had all apple products I would steer more towards Apple watches, but idk I feel like I should get an android. Maybe it's due to how much more freedom you have with the devices and the programs.
I've debated getting one, but I haven't committed to spending that much lol I used to have one of the nicer FitBits, but those things don't seem to last at all. I'll probably get one eventually!
They are a bit expensive. That's why I got the chinese miband or whatever it was. For $35 or so you get a lot. So I can't complain. :D But with the top tier bands, you can do so much more. But I hate the idea that you probably need to buy a new one each year to keep up with the changes.
Apple Watch Gang. I was bummed that they didn't come out with the flat design this year. I was going to upgrade and hand my current down but I will lay low until next year.
Didn't they start with a more rounded frame, and now they're going to more of a square edge? That's what I heard, do correct me if I'm wrong though.
I never had a smartwatch. I am not a big fan of wearing devices. Maybe that is just me. I see the benefits of them but I wouldn't really make much use of them anyway. I am finding myself using my phone less and less as well. Probably for the better.
Yeah, we all need a break from our smartphones I think. Good on you for cutting down on it. I need to use tech less often myself.

If you do not have the iPhone, the apple watch is useless.

I am still pretty hooked on my PC and laptop though. When I am not at work, I am sitting at my desk 90% of the time. So needless to say, it is a work in progress for me lol

It didn’t happen, it looks the same as the Series 4.

I am a huge fan of smartwatches. I purchased my very first Apple Watch a couple of years ago and I really enjoyed it. I upgraded to a Series 6 Apple Watch, and this watch literally keeps up with everything. It keeps up with my blood pressure, oxygen levels, sleep, exercise, calories, literally anything you can think of. It's actually crazy how far technology has come. I basically have a personal doctor on my wrist.

I haven't used any smartwatch but I have seen a couple of my friends who wears them. They do look good by the way but it's not something that appeals to me. I'm more of a Rolex kind of guy because it's a classic wrist watch. You don't get so many people wearing Rolex these days.

I've been using smart watches for 3 years, had both Samsung and Apple watches, and I enjoyed using both.

I probably would've stayed with the Apple Watch, but Samsung's watches and accompanying health app had some features I didn't find on the Apple Watch like automatic workout detection, automatic sleep tracking, which provides a graph and chart of Awake, Light, Deep, and REM sleep phases, and a pedometer--the latter two I had to find and download apps for the Apple Watch.

Currently I have the Samsung Watch Active 4, which is a big improvement over the previous Watch 3. But Apple has a gang of new features coming for their watches with their announcement of Watch OS 9, which will bring some of those missing features I mentioned.

The Apple Watch and the Android-based Samsung Galaxy Watch are the top 2 watches on the market now, both are good. If you have an iPhone, I'd say start with a Apple Watch 3, the cheapest one Apple has, or the Galaxy Watch Active 4, if you have a Samsung phone or any android phone.

I like round faces of the samsung watches too. Are they running Android Wear or Tizen?

The newest Samsung Watches now run their Android Wear OS

And yea, the round faces are most appropriate for the analog clockfaces, but I think the square face is more practical for the digital faces, and all the other information smartwatches display, which is probably what Apple has in mind.

100%. I like the aesthetics of the round face but it sucks when displaying information.
