On a sidenote, I would love to see TBA on CNN or Fox News or a major platform, trading blows. Say what you will about his style and personality but the man thinks fast on his feet and it's very tough to gaslight him.
My guess is the major networks and powers that be are scared AF of him. The media learned its lesson around 60 years ago with Malcolm X. The NOI and Malcolm in particular could not be ignored any longer. For a time, Islam was the fastest growing religion in America late 50s, early 60s due 100 percent to the NOI. So, they needed to nip in the bud or it will take on a life of its own they couldn't stop from spreading throughout the black community.
One of the major talk shows invited Malcolm on there hoping to discredit him. They did their homework. They brought up stuff about Elijah Mohammed and Malcolm, you could only know from doing a deep dive. Malcolm as we all know did very well and the interview made him nationally popular among blacks and the NOI grew faster after that.
White folks didn't forget that at all. And they avoided people like Farrakhan, who had a very good reputation among blacks but you rarely saw him on network TV. It was the ignore them and they will eventually go away strategy. It worked with some groups like the Black Isrealites. They rarely if ever had an opportunity to talk to a major platform.
The powers that be of both parties are well aware of him and Tariq. The Dems know about them very, very well. Also, there are a lot of famous athletes and entertainers who listen in on the low. Way more than you think. The big task for the Dems now is to make sure the 'triumverate' Tariq, TBA PBT are NOT part of the reparations discussions. The Congressional Black Caucus are the most fearful. They get treats (committee chairs, cushy board of director jobs on major companies after retirement, lobbyists, etc) by convincing white folks they 'control' us and they can get out the vote. It's now becoming obvious they can't and so white supremacy in the body of the Dem establishment will start wondering why they should do anything for them. The growing Latino numbers also serve to magnify that opinion.
