I have heard podcasts saying big money donors wanted Biden out but not Kamala to take over. Her approval numbers were always dismal. The only voices of support internally for support was from sisters, who were pissed she wasn't going to be considered the next up by what they heard.
But the reaction for her has been way better than I or most anticipated. I did a rough polling of my friends and pretty much all the sisters are ecstatic about her. The brothers were supportive but not as enthusiastic.
I have a few friends to went to Howard, also 3 family members and a couple other friends and family member or two have gone to other HBCUs and it seems their main motivation for wanting her as President is not policy but to have a Howard grad / HBCU grad in the White House. I disagree with that as a motivation and was told I was a Kamala hater...lol. Even though I said I'm about policy first. Don't care who. They all know I'm big on black issues, reparations, specific tangibles, etc. but somehow that translates to not supporting Black people....but I digress.
Not sure if its true, but a friend posted that the party raised 250 million dollars since and Cenk from TYT said 81 million came in the first 24 hours.
I think a few things will have to happen still. Her choice for VP is vital. Second is how she responds to Israel / Gaza. Also, her platform. Republicans are a bit scared though and are in a hissy fit to some extent. They wanted Biden because he was easy to beat.
What y'all think of her chances? Not if you want her to win or support her. This is a 'cut the check', 'what you gonna do for us specifically' site. But just in terms of her chances objectively?
