Perfect excuse for the capitalists to brung in automation. My local Dunkin’ Donuts has two employees, one for drive thru and one to make sure the self-service kiosks are working. Interesting times we are living in.
The fewer employees the more profitable for them. And they will make almost every behavior illegal that people do to better themselves. Controlling the people is a big goal of theirs.

This seems like appeasement to me. It is not keeping up with how prices are going up.

Mississippi is still stuck at 7.25 an hour.
Mississippi has a far-right Republican Governor. They won't raise the minimum wage any time soon, or do anything to help the state's citizens. Do you remember when former Gov. Tate Reeves rejected President Obama's state aid package that contained Federal dollars and a healthcare component? This isn't new, and it will continue as long as the 'Sip remains red.
But hey, you have nothing to vote for, right?
