Did you guys know that Will Smith was rebooting the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but it seems to be more of a remake. I first thought that Will Smith would reprise his role, with some of the cast returning, but it seems they've recasted everyone and are starting new.

I honestly hate this idea. I would have rather had a reboot where it continues their story. But I bet Will Smith is too rich to do TV.

I heard they are not just copying the original, they are making this a more serious show. I may be able to watch it and not compare it if they really make it take a different tone.

I'm going to check it out too. Just had hopes they were going to continue the show instead of outright rebooting it. I don't think anything can live up to the original show either.

I agree. I think they could have easily continued the story in a reboot. It's not like they need to bring Will Smith back, they could have it be about his child in the show, or a new generation with some of the original cast making guest appearances. I just find it weird to reboot the show with the same characters but a different cast.

This is going to flop so hard that I have to watch it and see how bad it really will be.

I hope not. I want it to be good, but I do worry that with the new cast it's going to just be a weird imitation. I have a feeling it's going to make me want to watch the original show lol.

I don't mind it being more serious. But I wish they could have just started off where they left off. They could make it more serious even with the original cast coming back.

But, I'll give it time and see how this shows does. I hope it doesn't tarnish the original show, because I loved that show growing up. And still do.

They need to leave the Original stuff alone, and be creative enough to come with original content.
