Saturday Night Live has been airing longer than I have been alive and I think it's going to keep going on for years to come. I haven't been into the show since my teen years. And I don't think I ever plan to watch it these days. I know there's still a fandom for it, but the comedy just doesn't land for me anymore. As well, the cast is often cringey and mediocre.

With that being said, how much longer you think this show can go for?

Now Ro, you know good and damn well, if the ratings and the money and popularity are still there, Lyin' Michaels aint gon' do a damn thing but cash that check.
Do you know how old Lorne Michaels is? That man wants to retire and enjoy his great-grandchildren.
Kenan Thompson confirmed on a podcast I watched (either Comedy Hype or Hotboxin') that the 50th year will be the last.

He's in his 70s I know. But money is money. and White people value that more than anything else. Including great children. We'll find out either way it goes but him trying to hold out 3 more years when he could have bowed out long before now and still have his family be set and have even more time with said grandchildren... I'll believe it when I see it
